A flash of terror surged in Amelia's chest. "Selina, what are you laughing at?!"
Selina didn't answer. She kept that faint curve of a smile, her eyes coolly fixed on Amelia, as if watching prey walk willingly into a trap.
Amelia's composure cracked, as though a string in her mind suddenly snapped. "I asked you what you're laughing at!"
Daniel noticed something was wrong too.
Selina had asked Amelia twice—whether the one to marry Miss Paula had to be her biological son.
And Amelia had answered yes.
