Jacob paused at the door, his voice uncertain. "Logan?"
Selina immediately tried to push him away, but Logan held her tightly by the waist and gave her lips a sharp, punishing bite.
She whimpered, feeling like she might explode.
Logan responded lazily, "Mr. Carter, do us a favor and leave."
Jacob pressed, "Is Selina in there? I'm taking her with me."
Logan suddenly let out a soft laugh, full of meaning. "Mr. Carter, you must be very bored—interfering in matters between husband and wife?"
Silence fell on both sides of the door.
Selina nearly blacked out.
Does Logan have no shame?! Even if he didn't, she still did!
She took several deep breaths, forcing herself to sound calm. "Mr. Carter, I'll be out in just a moment. No need to worry."
Only then did Jacob give a slight nod. "Alright then. I'll head back. Miss Clark, if you need anything, just call."
