While Elara and Noir were out training Elara's magic, Grey and Randin were seen walking behind the mountains and caves, venturing deep into a dense forest.
However, this particular woodland was bizarre in appearance; instead of the lush green leaves Grey was accustomed to, he saw ashen foliage barely clinging to the branches, though they remained surprisingly attached.
The air around the forest was thick and heavy, carrying a scent and sensation that felt like death itself.
As they pressed forward, they could barely discern an opening as towering trees hemmed them in from all sides, while the sounds of chirping creatures echoed as they jumped from one limb to the next.
"I wonder what kind of beast I'm going to encounter," Grey said with a confident smile.
Lightning danced around his fingers, crackling with anticipation and waiting to be unleashed the moment danger was sighted.
It did not take long for them to stumble into peril.
