"Three weeks have passed since our encounter with those Contestants, we were just barely able to escape thanks to Kayden's spell.
I was surprised to learn that Kayden casted a pseudo-summon. According to him, it was a spirit called a "High Druid" he was only able to summon half of his power due to his loss of mana in the battle.
Furthermore, the spell responds to the will of the caster but it requires a sacrifice to be completely activated. That must've been why it sucked the life out of the contestant he was battling… His name was Landon.
In other words, Kayden saved us once again, I suppose I'm not indebted to him though because he said I saved his life when I arrived.
Anyways…. I believe that encounter has definetly strengthened us. Our bonds with the grimoire spirits have all been deepened and our understanding of magic has gotten greater as well. Over this past month.
