"You really missed me. I don't think you ever hugged me like this, Is everything okay?" Dad's voice coddled my ears.
I looked up to him not letting go of his dirty work jacket and he met my watery eyes with a warm smile. He wiped my tears with his large thumb, the warm feeling in his hands, the sound of his voice, his kindness.
"I had a long nightmare." I let out as I looked at Mom.
"And that's all it was buddy… A nightmare, it isn't real life. It isn't this." Dad raised his hands towards Mother and Felicie. "Now remember whatever scares you up here." He pointed at his head. 'Isn't out here."
"So everything was just a…dream?... All of it?"
"A nightmare. Whatever you see there, whatever you experience—" *Scriiiiiiii* Suddenly the pot started going off.
"Oh crap! The soup!" Mother stood up and seemed almost frantic as she couldn't figure out where to put Felicie down.
