"The lycans?" Evelyn furrowed her brows when she heard the shout.
"Yes, the Lycans. It's their mating ceremony." The woman smiled and quickly stood up. "Come, everyone's waiting. Let's join them!"
Evelyn was pulled by the woman until they arrived at a large square. It was so large and filled with people that Evelyn suddenly doubted if this was truly not real.
She and the woman were at the far back, but somehow, the woman managed to find a spot for them inside the crowd that would number hundreds of thousands, if not a million.
They were like sardines in a can, pressed tightly together. Evelyn's senses were overwhelmed by the sheer number of people, the noise, and the smell.
She felt like she was drowning in a sea of exortic smell...good and bad.
As she looked around, Evelyn noticed that everyone seemed to be staring at something in the center of the square. She followed their gaze and saw a large, ornate stage, surrounded by a moat of burning torches.
