"You had a kid!? Really!??" Lilia's eyes shone like stars as she leaned over the table, getting all up in her friend's face. "You have to tell me everything! What happened!? And where is this child of yours now—"
She stopped rambling the moment Mikaela pointed at the gorgeous young woman helplessly sitting at the right side of the table.
It only took an instant for Lilia to realize what her friend was telling her. This realization urged her eyes wide open as she accidentally slammed the table in her excitement.
"Eek!" Sylvy exclaimed, not used to her mother being so high-strung.
"Oh, oops, sorry my dear," Lilia apologized while doing her best to calm her emotions. But every time she looked Memphis's way, her eyes couldn't stop sparkling.
"You had your secret daughter, so who's to say I couldn't have my own?" Mikaela snorted confidently, pride for her valiant daughter overflowing. "We already know who the father of yours is, but as for mine… Tsk!"
