"Oh… We are finally here!" I said, poking my head out of the cabin's window. "Look at this, Amby!"
After four days of travel, our dragons had landed on the roof of the Naregan Royal Hall.
I heard cheers from the bees sitting on the backs of the other dragons. Everybody was happy to arrive at last.
From here, all of us could see a breathtaking view of a large part of the surrounding city.
It was built on a fork in a river and stitched it with bridges like some sort of scar. Blocky houses—each like a miniature mountain—with flat roofs spanned all the way to the horizon, built without any street grid. Many of them had entire forests on top of them or between them. Humans walked or rode down the streets—even these giants looked tiny from this distance.
