Chapter 420 - Trial (1)

"Emm! Slept well!"

Whitley stretched out a big stretch early in the morning, getting out of bed and pushing open the window to feel the sunlight and fresh air, Whitley felt the relaxation from deep within his body and mind.

Then as soon as she turned around, she saw Rope and Hoopa who were sleeping on all fours in bed.

The way the two looked right now couldn't be said to be sleepless. At the very least, they were also impersonal.

Whitley shook his head somewhat helplessly, but in the end, he didn't shout the two of them up. After all, although he didn't know what these two pieces of goods had done last night.

But according to them, they definitely went through something again that they'd better not know. Or something that one wouldn't need to know in too much of a hurry.

As much as she hated the idea, Whitley couldn't demand anything. After all, even if she didn't like it any more, Rope and the others were doing what was best for her.

And would have told them the same thing when she needed to know it.

So Whitley tucked the two in and went to get breakfast ready.

By the time Rope got them up it was an hour later.

Whitley had long since put breakfast on the table and then sat himself down in bed to read. It was for one's own good that one should learn as much as possible, no matter when or where one was. By learning a little more, one would be able to understand a few more things. Maybe there would be ways to deal with some more contraptions.

"Breakfast is on the table, warm it up for yourselves."

Whitley eyed the two waking up, glanced at them and proceeded to read his book.

As for the matter of how the two were going to heat up breakfast...were they afraid of not having a hot meal with Rope around?

Rope yawned and nodded to Whitley before rolling out of bed and heading over towards the breakfast at the table.

By the time he got to it, the breakfast that had been cold was back to steaming hot, looking like it had just come out of the pot.

Whitley had gotten ramen noodles for it, and it really wasn't bad for breakfast, I guess.

Though Rope would have preferred soy milk fries. But after all, it's not the same world anymore, so it's better to make do with what we have.

Rope had just sat down when Hoopa dropped through the portal above the table. The guy didn't even want to float, he just teleported himself right through.

Last night that asshole was coming in too late...

Whitley looked at the two people who were wolfing down their food and shook his head somewhat helplessly.

"What did you two go do last night to be so sleepy?"

Though he said he didn't care not to, Whitley would actually ask a mouthful, and Rope would tell him all she could.

Rope swallowed the noodle that was tuned in her cheeks and then said, "Arceus showed up last night. Revealed himself to us."

Whitley's hand, which was turning pages, gave a lurch.

Looking up at Rope with a shocked expression, "So you guys fought with him?"

"How could we be so violent!" Hoopa spoke helplessly.

"The key thing is that we estimated that the odds are that we can't beat this guy."

Of course, it was obvious that the second half of the sentence was the point.

"That strong?"

Whitley was a bit emotional, she thought Rope and Hoopa were already strong. And having never met Arceus, those legends didn't make much sense even if she knew they were realist.

"It's strong, I don't know how strong." Rope replied with a serious face.

It was the truth, like a frog at the bottom of a well not knowing how big the sky was. Any speculation Rope had about Al's strength now would only be a source of amusement.

That asshole Year didn't say anything after Azure Flute either. Don't know what he's been up to either.

(Year: I'm worthless)

"Then what did you guys talk about last night?"

"Going to take his test today. And get Azure Flute on the side."

Rope replied.

Whitley got a headache at the word test. No what was this all about, weren't they here to help wipe Arceus' ass? Why were they being tested by him now? Wasn't this redundant?

"Accept the test? What's wrong with you? Doing him a favor and still accepting his test."

Whitley had an indignant look on his face.

Rope shrugged, "The situation is stronger than the people, even if the world destroys he won't necessarily be in trouble. But you guys are ironically screwed."

That was the main reason Rope would accept such an offer. Do you really think that Year can make the decision for him, at most, Year can give him some advice. Whether he accepts it or not is up to him.

But the rest of Rope is very clear. After all, the current form is like this. It was impossible for him to refuse the offer, because the task of saving the world always had to be accomplished.

Since Arceus couldn't be bothered with oil and salt, it was only up to him to figure it out.

So anyway, the thing that made Year's eyes glaze over must be something very powerful. As long as they got their hands on it, then they could take care of the matter.

"So..."

Whitley looked at Rope.

Rope drank the bowl of soup clean, then said, "So now let's go over there and take this guy's test, whatever it takes to get the thing in our own hands first."

With that, he gripped Hoopa in one hand and then brought him to the other side.

"Face! Noodles! I haven't finished my noodles yet.Rope! asshole! Let go !!!!"

Hoopa looked at his noodle while yelling in dismay.

And Rope didn't eat him at all. Because he knew clearly that this Hoopa guy was just craving, it's not like he was really hungry.

"Ugh no! You two wait for me!"

Whitley saw the two of them leaving and shouted towards the two of them while putting on his shoes in a hurry.

However, Rope and the others weren't walking too fast, after all, tourists? There's no rush for those who come out to play.

"How many of you are awake? If you have a need for the village's specialties..."

Rope ignored them and just silently walked away.

Nagamasa, on the other hand, opened his mouth and swallowed back the phrase 'go to the village chief's house'.

Then he looked at Rope's back as they left and silently shook his head.

"It's that bastard Al who caused trouble again. Normally, it's just a matter of messing with women. Why would a man get into trouble too? It's hard to believe... he's greening people?"

Nagamasa speculated with quite a bit of malice.

Rope and the others, on the other hand, had no time for him at all. Things like specialties were definitely more or less the same whether you bought them or not, but Azure Flute was something that if you really had to put it down, you might not be able to pick it up again.

And when Rope and the others walked to yesterday's fruit stand, they realized that there was no sign of Al. Where sitting today was a bored looking girl.

Rope they walked closer.

"Just watch and pick for yourself."

The girl replied listlessly.

"Hello, I'm looking for Al."
