"You guys are going to ask me about that Al kid?"
Taku placed the dish he was holding on the table and looked at the two young people in front of him with a puzzled look on his face.
On the other half of the table, a pair of twin sisters also looked over at Rope as they waited for their meal. bright eyes filled with confusion.
Rope and Whitley looked at each other before Rope smiled, "Nothing, just a little curious about this guy."
Taku was still staring at them obviously not convinced.
Still after just a moment he was ready to open his mouth.
"Al, is a wonderful lad then. Ever since he came to our village two years ago, he's been very likable. So quickly integrated into our village."
Rope had a smile on his face. He could easily sense that Taku was lying. After all, Rope's Heartflame was still very effective on normal people.
But Rope wouldn't normally use that ability either is all.
Reading minds was not necessarily a good thing. Everyone has hidden malice in their hearts. And learning about that malice wasn't necessarily a good thing for a person.
As for this time, Rope didn't need to read minds yet. After all, even though Taku was much older than Rope, in comparison, Taku's experience was still much worse than Rope's. Sometimes age doesn't mean experience.
Rope had seen all kinds of people, all kinds of malice, far more than Taku.
It could only be said that the majority of the world was still in a relatively stable situation, and it was still up to Rope and his efforts.
After all, even now, there was still Pokémon revenge going on everywhere.
It was just that the number was relatively small.
Because the negotiations between the two sides were going on right now, Mewtwo and the others certainly wouldn't let the conflict go too far. But they wouldn't stop it completely either, as to put some pressure on the human side. To make sure that they would honestly sign an agreement that was fair to both sides. Instead of punking them out.
The agreement between the two sides would almost certainly be handed over to Rope at the end of the day.Rope was the final decision maker for this peace talk. Rope is the final decision maker in the peace talks, but he won't be present during the negotiations. Some things go bad when Rope is involved.
So Rope is out of everyone's sight. Busy with more important things.
"Seriously, what about what you said, I really don't believe it very much. So I was hoping you would tell me some truth." Rope had a smile on his face, only it wasn't a very nice one, after all, not everyone could accept it, "Please rest assured, I have no ill will towards Al, on the contrary, I feel that he has no small amount of ill will towards me."
Rope said it sincerely, but essentially it was still an attempt to get some useful information out of Taku. Though it wouldn't necessarily be much use really. But every extra point that was an enhancement to himself.
When there wasn't a big gap in hard power, then the war was fought on the difference in information.
It's as if you're fighting a guy and you know that his right hand is injured, but he doesn't know that your left leg is injured. So it was obvious that you had a big advantage.
Taku looked at the youth in front of him and was silent for a moment.
When his own wife had also taken her seat, Taku finally spoke up, "I can't tell you guys about Al, although it's true that I don't really think you're any kind of bad guys either, I guess."
Rope pretended not to hear the second half of the sentence. It was nothing more than a scene-stealing remark, incidentally expressing that he hadn't offended Rope and the others.
As for whether or not they really didn't think Rope was a bad person...who knew.
"Then pretend I didn't ask."
Rope wasn't saying anything, just silently chucking in her food. Rope had paid for her meal before she ate, and she really didn't have any qualms about eating now.Whitley and Hoopa both started eating silently after Rope.
Whitley and Hoopa both started to eat silently after Rope, not asking for anything else. Obviously just indulging in the meal.
Seriously, the flavor of this meal was really quite good.
On the other side, Taku and his wife looked at each other and didn't know what to say.
Anyway, Rope and the others didn't look like they were angry right now.
Of course Rope wasn't angry. Asking a mouthful was just asking a mouthful, trying to actually get any news. Of course it's best if there's something. It didn't matter if there wasn't.
So in the midst of a rather awkward atmosphere, Rope and the others had a great meal. After eating, Rope laid down on his chair and patted his stomach.
Although the flavor of the food here was not as good as Rope's own cooking and Daisy's handiwork. But the style of cooking is clearly different. The style here was a bit more primitive.
And Taku lit a cigarette, looked at Rope for a moment, and silently waved his hand at his wife.
The wife understood and nodded at Taku before going to the two kids and leaving the living room. Off to the kitchen to clean up the mess.
Rope, on the other hand, looked to Taku after seeing this scene.
Taku took another deep drag on his cigarette.
"Al isn't really very popular..."
Taku's face was a little hard to see for a moment in the smoke.
"The truth is that even now the guy isn't very popular. After all, a guy who smiles indifferently all day wouldn't be so likable."
"But he's a member of our village after all. Even if he came later, he's still someone from our village. The village has been passed down from I don't know how many years ago to now, and it all relies on unity. That's why I won't break such a rule."
This was said like an explanation to Rope of why he would withhold information from Rope. but in reality it had revealed something that wasn't very important.
"Al's actually a pretty nice guy. It's just kind of weird that we haven't seen him old for the past five years. I've heard he's lived in other places. But then he's particularly familiar with our village. It's like he's been here before."
"His house is right next to that idol in the village. It's strange to say that together, there was nothing strange about that idol at all. But after he came, people would occasionally see that idol glowing, which was also quite strange."
Saying that, Taku had finished the cigarette in his mouth. The usual expression of lethargy and vicissitude returned.
Taku got up, yawned and said, "If you guys are resting today, go to Nagamasa's house. They have extra rooms at their house. I basically stayed at their house in the past as well."
After saying that, Taku simply left the living room.
Whitley looked over to Rope, who was thinking.
Actually, Taku didn't give anything much information. But to Rope, it was also basically certain that Al's eccentricity was not his own illusion.
"A pretty interesting village."
