Chapter 251 - Chapter 650: Faced With Kaguya’s Embrace, the Sage Brothers Choose Sealing

Ōtsutsuki Kaguya wasn't the type to take a hit and do nothing about it. Takuya had already braced himself to banish this ancient monster a second time.

But before he could make a move, two ethereal figures materialized, stepping in front of Kaguya.

Dressed in the same flowing robes as when they had once been Jinchūriki of the Ten-Tails, Truth-Seeking Orbs hovering around them, their faces aged and skin ashen gray—Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo and Ōtsutsuki Hamura had finally shown up.

Exactly as expected. When there was no one left to clean up their mess, these two finally crawled out of the shadows.

Well, it worked out just fine for Takuya. He had no interest in playing cat and mouse with Kaguya.

The woman's space-time jutsu was absolutely insane.

"Hamura… Hagoromo…"

To everyone's surprise, instead of an immediate battle, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya looked like a desperate mother who had just reunited with her long-lost children.

Her eyes brimmed with tears, streaming down her face as she spread her arms wide, moving toward her sons with an emotional embrace.

Wait… wasn't she supposed to be the merciless, all-powerful tyrant?

This… didn't quite line up with the picture Takuya had painted.

Some people in the crowd started exchanging uncertain glances.

If this woman was such a cruel monster, then why did she look so overjoyed to see her children?

Sensing the doubt in their eyes, Takuya rolled his own in exasperation.

He didn't know how Kaguya truly felt about her sons.

But he did know that the Sage Brothers sure as hell didn't feel the same way about her.

And sure enough, in response to their mother's heartfelt embrace, Hagoromo and Hamura had only one response—

Take this, mother.

Boom!

Two massive Truth-Seeking Orbs slammed into Kaguya without an ounce of hesitation.

The sheer ruthlessness of it left everyone dumbfounded.

People had assumed that, even if there was tension between them, there would be some sort of hesitation.

Who would have thought that, upon seeing their mother after all these years, their first reaction would be a straight-up attack?

With Truth-Seeking Orbs, no less.

"...Wow."

Some people felt their faces burn with embarrassment.

Maybe they really had misunderstood something.

Takuya smirked and shook his head at the people who had doubted him earlier.

"The Sage of Six Paths' beloved was sacrificed to feed the God Tree. His mother controlled his brother and forced them to fight to the death.

If it weren't for the Great Toad Sage, Hagoromo would have ended up killing his own brother with his own hands."

He spread his hands casually.

"Given everything that happened, do you really think these two would welcome their mother with open arms?"

Regardless of how Kaguya felt about her sons, the things she had done, the way she had ruled with an iron grip—those were more than enough to destroy any hope of a happy family reunion.

"Hamura! Hagoromo!"

Kaguya's voice trembled with fury.

She had opened her arms, expecting to be embraced by her children—only to be met with a brutal counterattack.

And the Sage Brothers?

They didn't say a single word.

They just kept attacking.

Even as spirits, Hagoromo and Hamura fought with the same overwhelming power as when they were alive.

Takuya had to admit—this family was on another level of absurdity.

Alien bloodlines really did work differently.

A furious roar erupted through the battlefield.

The Ten-Tails, now fused with the Divine Tree, lunged at the Sage of Six Paths.

It didn't stand a chance.

Hagoromo activated his massive mech and proceeded to absolutely demolish it.

Takuya and Madara's Susanoo had already been seen as absurdly strong, but next to Hagoromo's?

It was like comparing a child's toy to a mountain.

Towering, overwhelming, completely untouchable.

"We should head home and wait for this to wrap up. Time to clean up the mess," Takuya said.

The family drama was entertaining, sure, but the sheer level of destruction they were dishing out wasn't something to take lightly.

If they got caught in the crossfire, it wouldn't end well.

No need to stick around and get turned into collateral damage.

And as for how the Sage Brothers were managing to fight like this despite being nothing more than spirits?

Takuya had no idea.

Maybe they had reached a level where a physical body was optional.

Maybe they had some secret technique up their sleeve.

Either way, not his problem.

Kaguya wasn't even at full power.

Her chakra was still scattered.

She was incomplete.

And with the Sage Brothers holding onto massive chunks of the chakra she had lost, she was never going to get it all back.

As long as they existed, Kaguya would never be whole again.

Sure enough, as the battle raged on, the fight gradually shifted into Kaguya's personal dimension.

The battlefield had changed.

And with it, so had the fate of the shinobi world.

No one knew what Hagoromo had done, but at some point, Infinite Tsukuyomi was undone.

Since he had once been the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki, he must have used some method to counter Kaguya's power through it.

And just like that…

It was over?

The crimson moon faded.

The Infinite Tsukuyomi lifted.

Those who had been trapped in its illusion slowly opened their eyes.

The vines of the Divine Tree withered away.

If it weren't for the craters and devastation left behind, it would be hard to believe that any of this had actually happened.

"The shinobi world still faces threats. We still need Mother's power," the Sage of Six Paths declared from the Pure Land.

Once again, he tore the Ten-Tails apart.

Having already been its Jinchūriki, Hagoromo had only gotten better at handling it.

And the real reason Kaguya lost?

She was played.

Her final fate was sealed.

This time, instead of being sealed on the moon, her prison was moved directly into the Pure Land.

Those who had been caught in Infinite Tsukuyomi had been drained of their chakra.

Recovery would take time.

When all was said and done, the Allied Shinobi Forces disbanded.

The Five Great Nations returned to their lands.

They had no regrets.

There was no reason to stay.

Before departing, Hashirama and Tobirama made sure to tell Tsunade to destroy the Reanimation Jutsu.

Then, they released themselves from the jutsu and allowed their souls to pass on.

Everything returned to normal.

The Five Great Nations focused on rebuilding.

The previously war-hungry Cloud and Stone villages had suddenly become much more peaceful.

The shinobi world had finally entered a long period of peace.

And yet, there was one thing that still annoyed Takuya.

For some reason, Hagoromo kept trying to chat with him from the Pure Land.

Takuya had no idea what kind of tricks he was using, but how the hell was a dead guy still capable of meddling in the real world?

Honestly, it was getting to the point where Takuya seriously considered banishing him for an entire year—just to get some damn peace and quiet.
