Chapter 11 - Lesslion vs Victor

Victor landed a brutal blow on Lesslion's jaw, followed by a strike to his chest. He swung his right hand for another punch at Lesslion's face, but Lesslion managed to block it. Attempting to counter, Lesslion threw a punch, but Victor remained unshaken and said,

"You thought you could defeat me?"

Lesslion smirked and replied,

"Do I even need to think about doing such a thing?"

Clang, clang, the sound of rapid punches echoed as Victor and Lesslion clashed. Victor's massive, heavy arms collided with Lesslion's cold, mechanical limbs in a blur of motion. The hum of Lesslion's mechanical arms grew louder as they deflected the powerful blows. The bluish mana crystals embedded in his forearms and shoulders glowed brightly with each strike, emitting a resonant vibration with every impact.

"HAHAHA."Victor suddenly started laughing maniacally in the middle of the fight

His punches became more aggressive, brutal, and overwhelming for Lesslion, pushing him into a corner of the room. His back was nearly touching the glass wall.

Shirts and coats were torn apart due to their aggressive fighting, both for Victor and Lesslion.

Victor stopped and said,

"Final warning... say what you know."

Zayne Blackthorn stood at the gates, halted by Victor's assistant, Fredrick. The two were arguing as Fredrick growled, "Stop here, OFFICER. Step any further, and you'll be putting a lot at risk."

"Officer, you say... huh, how are you, BLINKER?" Zayne retorted. After a tense pause, he added, "Do you still go by that name, or have you changed it to TRAITOR?"

Fredrick moved closer to the gates, standing firm, and replied in a gruff voice, "You folks at the department proved to be utterly useless!" As he spoke, his eyes glowed purple, his hair darkened from the top, and his body transformed—his appearance became younger, his frame muscular and taut.

"I'm something far beyond what 'blinker' ever was and much more than the 'traitor' I used to be, right, officer?"

"Tch," Zayne muttered.

"Hmph. Back off," Fredrick sneered.

The windows shattered as massive slabs of glass crashed to the ground, breaking into countless fragments. The sudden noise struck fear into many people, drawing their attention upward. They saw Victor gripping Lesslion by the neck.

Victor viciously tore one of the mechanical arms from Lesslion's body. The arm's shiny blue core dimmed, sparks still flickering from its upper section. With a swift motion, Victor hurled it away. The arm fell from a great height and shattered into pieces.

"Last chance, Lesslion."

"Heh, Fu--"

Victor flung him with full force outside. Lesslion's body slammed into the parking area near the gates, creating a gruesome scene that left the crowd in shock and fear. Zayne looked up and saw Victor grinning at the edge before turning and walking inside.

"Enough is enough..." Zayne's power surged, his shoes burst apart, and his pants burned from below. His hair stood on end as a strong wind whipped across his face. [Thorn eject] He sprinted with incredible speed, crashing through the guarded gates, shattering a guard's face in the process, until he reached Lesslion's body.

Their eyes locked. Fredrick followed Zayne's movement, his gaze sharp as he noticed Zayne reaching for the body on the ground. Activating his own power, Fredrick muttered with a devious smile, "You broke the rule, 'Officer.'"

Lesslion, barely breathing, struggled to cling to life. His skull was cracked, and blood pooled around his broken body. Zayne stood amidst the blood, but suddenly, a blue sword hurtled toward him with great speed.

He barely dodged it, but it still grazed his cheek, drawing blood. The drops fell onto his clothes, soaking into the fabric. Before he could react, five more swords came at him.

"Blinker, your swords can finally cut, huh?"

[Electrik Thorn]

Electricity crackled around his feet, mingling with the blood pooled beneath him. His body lifted into the air, and with a swift motion of his hands, he deflected all the swords. Lesslion's body also rose midair.

"They're still weak, huh..."

"Weak? Hahaha, look at your back!"

"Huh?"

Zayne turned, only to feel the sharp sting of eight daggers piercing his back. They sank deep into his flesh with a sickening sound, blood seeping from the wounds.

Zayne coughed up blood and gasped, "When?"

Fredrick, with a devious grin and an unsettlingly cheerful tone, replied,

"Since you arrived, I've been holding back my urge to kill you... Hahaha, finally, FINALLY, I can!"

Zayne coughed harder, blood spilling as he dangled midair, groaning in pain.

"You can't... If I leave here, you *cough* won't... maybe not!"

[Electrik Thorn Eject]

"Oh, not so fast, Zayne, hehe."

Fredrick swiftly appeared behind him, laughing cruelly in his ear.

[Sword Formation]

"Huh?"

"Hehehehe."

In an instant, Fredrick plunged his sword through Zayne's calves, slashing with precision. Electricity crackled from his feet as his skill activated. Grabbing Lesslion's body, he moved at blinding speed, leaving a trail of power in his wake.

Lightning shot up from the ground, matching his movements as he swiftly darted away, but his leg was already bleeding profusely, and his back bore deep wounds. There wasn't much he could do as Lesslion's life hung by a thread. Determined, he rushed toward the nearest hospital, his powers flickering as he pressed on, while Fredrick stood at the scene of the battle.

"Tch, cowards as always," Fredrick sneered, his laughter chilling. "Hehehehe, although his blood tastes—" *he licked the blade of his sword* "—sweet. Hehehe, diabetic, I guess."

At the hospital, Zayne pushed his limits, covering an exhausting distance of nearly twenty-four kilometres. At the entrance, his injured leg finally gave out, and both he and Lesslion collapsed in a pool of blood. A staff member spotted them and quickly sounded the alarm. They were rushed inside, placed on ventilators, and taken to emergency surgery rooms as the fight for their lives began.

While Victor stood at the scene of the fight, he called out, "Fredrick!" Moments later, Fredrick appeared behind him.

"Yes, master! Your orders?"

"None, but this building is becoming an annoyance for me..."

"You want me to demolish it?"

"Nah, I could have done that easily without calling you. I want to kill everyone inside this building!"

"Huh? Sir, are you aware of the consequences of your actions? This will make you a target for the grand six generals, as well as countless minor sects and clans."

"Yeah, I'm aware. But it's time. We'll show them the Montanas are back in the Undercity."

"I wanted to ask you something, if that's alright?"

"Go ahead."

"Sir, was your son really worth all this trouble?"

"Watch your tongue, Fredrick!"

"My apologies, I'll begin the mission immediately."

He disappeared, leaving behind an eerie silence broken only by the sound of the roof collapsing, walls crumbling, and sparking wires destroying the TV, reducing everything to rubble. Victor walked quietly for a moment before muttering,

"No, he was never worth it."
