Fortunately, Thor didn't attack Gamora after he reached her. He simply patted her shoulder and said comfortingly, "Every family has its own problems! Before my father died, he told me I had a sister imprisoned in Hell."
"Then my sister came back and blinded my eye, so I had to kill her! Isn't that what life is like? Ups and downs, ups and downs..." He gave her shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "I understand your pain!"
Star-Lord's cheek twitched slightly as he looked at Thor's hand on Gamora's shoulder, and he was almost jealous.
He quietly walked to Gamora's other side, wedged himself between the two, and looked at Thor, saying, "I completely understand your suffering! I'm not trying to compete with you in misery! But things aren't peaceful in our family either!"
"My father killed my mother, so I had no choice but to kill him! It's hard to accept! It's probably even harder than killing my sister! But thankfully, I saved both of my eyes!"
Rocket Raccoon crossed his arms and sighed as he listened to Star-Lord's jealous expression.
Thor raised his soup spoon and said to himself, "I need a weapon, not cutlery!"
He walked to the front, looking at the locker inside the spaceship, and said, "How do I open this thing? Is there something inside... a four-digit code? A birthday or something..."
He started typing randomly in front of the computer screen, his fingers jabbing at various buttons without any particular pattern or logic.
The Guardians of the Galaxy looked at him in confusion, not knowing what he was doing.
Rocket asked, "Uh... what are you doing?"
Thor replied confidently, "Trying to figure out how to pilot your spaceship."
Upon hearing this, Star-Lord coughed and lowered his voice, making it hoarse and dignified. "No! You can't! Don't even think about taking our spaceship like this! Sir!"
Thor turned and looked at him.
Rocket looked puzzled. "Uh... Quill! Are you deliberately lowering your voice?"
Star-Lord glanced at him with a slightly stiff expression. "Of course not!"
Drax bluntly interrupted, "You are! You're imitating this man! How weird!"
Star-Lord turned his head and looked at the big fool, shook his head and said, "No! I didn't!"
But Mantis, who was standing next to Drax, pointed at him and exclaimed, "He's learned it again!"
"My voice is always like this!" Star-Lord was a little frustrated. Why was it so hard to act cool in front of outsiders? What kind of unsupportive teammates were these?
Thor slowly walked up to him, looked him in the eyes, and asked, "Are you provoking me?"
Star-Lord frowned and immediately retorted, "Are you provoking me?"
"Stop! You just—"
Star-Lord turned his head and deliberately looked at Thor out of the corner of his eye. "Aren't you just imitating me?"
"He's imitating me! He started it!"
Gamora couldn't stand it anymore and stopped the conflict between the two.
"Enough! Stop being unreasonable! We have to stop Thanos! Which means we have to figure out his next target!"
Thor didn't argue with Star-Lord anymore. He walked over to Gamora and said the name of a place: "Knowhere!"
Mantis had never heard of this name, so she looked at Thor with a puzzled expression. "It has to be a specific place, right?"
But Star-Lord reacted, "No! No! No! Knowhere? That's a place name! We've been there before! That lousy place!"
Thor walked to the refrigerator where food was stored and took out a lot of food, stuffing various packages and containers under his arms.
Star-Lord looked at him and said, "Excuse me! That's our food!"
Thor said without turning his head, "Not anymore!"
Gamora put her hands on her hips, wondering why Thor was so sure Thanos would go to Knowhere. "Thor! Why would he go to Knowhere?"
"Because the Reality Stone has been there for the past few years! It's been kept safe by someone called the Collector!"
Star-Lord immediately grumbled, "Yeah…I bet the Collector can keep the stones safe! Only an idiot would entrust the Infinity Stones to someone like that!"
He still clearly remembered what happened after they sent the Power Stone over!
Thor retorted, "Maybe he's a genius!"
-Real World-
Thor looked at Star-Lord, who was arguing with him without saying a word. He just silently increased the power, which made Star-Lord scream in pain. Then he lay on the ground with his whole body numb and twitching continuously.
Under Thor's repeated electric stimulation, white light suddenly appeared in the eyes of Star-Lord who was lying on the ground. Although it was weak, Thor was sure that he was not mistaken!
Seeing this, he couldn't help but increase his divine power even more drastically. The electric current became even more violent, and even Star-Lord's hair began to smoke.
"Ahhhh!!!" With the help of Thor, Star-Lord suddenly stood up with strength from nowhere and shouted towards the ceiling. His body was instantly filled with blue and white energy, which complemented Thor's electric current.
Then Star-Lord rolled his eyes and fell straight back. Wanda stretched out a hand from a distance and a red light flashed, preventing him from hitting his head directly on the ground.
"It looks like it's working!" Wanda narrowed her eyes and raised her eyebrows at Thor.
Thor nodded and looked at the unconscious Star-Lord and said, "Yeah! It seems that Ego didn't do nothing in the end! He left a seed of power in Quill! Now it has finally been catalyzed by me!"
Of course, Thor didn't call Star-Lord for no reason. Although Star-Lord seemed a little unpleasant to him, it was not enough to make him do so.
It was Strange who proposed this to Thor after Star-Lord discovered that his divine power was showing signs of resurgence under Thor's stimulation.
In his words, as long as the electricity doesn't kill him, he will be electrocuted to death. According to his speculation, Star-Lord's body will absorb a part of Thor's power as a cornerstone to pry open the other half of the dormant god gene in his body and activate it!
In this way, it is entirely possible for Star-Lord to once again obtain the divine power that he displayed in Ego's original form. However, Strange cannot be sure what the source of Star-Lord's energy is, and to what extent the power can be achieved after activation?
After all, Star-Lord on the sky actually draws energy from Ego's body. He himself does not generate any energy, so after Ego's death, his power dissipates like rootless duckweed in the wind.
Strange didn't quite understand how the Celestial Gene gained its power, so he was a little worried that if the Celestial Gene awakened, would it drain Star-Lord directly?
But then he thought, it's normal to take some risks in order to gain something.
And it should be unlikely to drain Star-Lord. Even if an accident really happened, he still had the Eye of Agamotto to reverse the future, so he instigated Thor to do it without hesitation.
