Chapter 341 - Chapter 341: Is Professor Snape Doing Well?

Upon hearing Wentworth's question, Jabari shot him a side glance and replied irritably:

"Wentworth, I'll take that as a compliment, I suppose."

Wentworth simply shrugged, unfazed, and casually tossed ten Galleons toward Jabari.

"In that case," he asked, "what about Headmistress Adisa? Is she also from one of the Great Tribes?"

At the question, Jabari gave Wentworth a long, searching look before slowly shaking his head.

"No, Headmistress Adisa isn't from any of the Great Tribes. But there are rumors… even if she doesn't come from one of them, she maintains excellent relations with several of the most powerful tribes in Africa. Some even say that every year, she sells a portion of Uagadou's admission slots directly to them at a set price."

Wentworth's brow furrowed at this, his voice tinged with disbelief.

"Are you serious?"

Jabari simply spread his hands with a shrug, unconcerned.

"I'm only passing along what I've heard. Whether it's true or not, well, that's not my responsibility. After all, she's the headmistress. I'm just a student at Uagadou."

Hearing this, Wentworth scratched the back of his head and gave a wry smile.

"Society's simple… it's people that are complicated. I miss Hogwarts already."

Since Wentworth didn't ask anything further, Jabari stood up, brushed the grass off his robes, and said:

"If that's all, I'll be off now. If you've got more questions later, come find me. One flat rate, ten Galleons per answer."

With that, Jabari turned and walked away.

What Jabari didn't notice, however, was that as he left, an unexpected passenger had hitched a ride on the cuff of his trousers.

A small green figure clung to his pants, pulling faces at Wentworth and sticking out its tongue.

Once Jabari was gone, Wentworth found himself with nothing to do again. After all, Dumbledore had only instructed him to keep himself safe before leaving, without giving any further directions.

And after listening to Jabari, Wentworth became even more convinced that there were deep, murky waters behind this matter. He had no desire to throw himself into a mess. Whatever happened to Uagadou in the future had little to do with a Hogwarts student like himself.

With that in mind, Wentworth wandered leisurely through the Uagadou campus, enjoying the scenery and curious to see how the school's teaching methods differed from Hogwarts'.

Leaving the meadow where he had eaten that morning, Wentworth soon spotted a group of Uagadou students taking a flying lesson on a nearby patch of grass.

He stood off to the side and watched for a while, quietly noting that compared to the sometimes chaotic flying lessons at Hogwarts, Uagadou's classes seemed far safer.

This wasn't necessarily a testament to better teaching quality, though. The real reason was simple, their broomsticks were unbelievably slow. Not only were they sluggish, but they also didn't appear to reach much height either.

If Hogwarts' broomsticks are like old, second-hand Cleansweep Fives, then Uagadou's are barely better than toy brooms, the kind with just two spinning charms and no stability enchantments.

It didn't take long before Wentworth lost interest and turned to walk in a different direction.

After wandering around much of the campus without anything particularly exciting catching his eye, he finally noticed something intriguing: a Uagadou student leading an unfamiliar creature into a classroom.

That piqued Wentworth's curiosity.

He approached the classroom, standing just outside the window to peer in. Just then, the door opened, and a middle-aged witch with wild, disheveled hair and thick glasses poked her head out.

She eyed Wentworth suspiciously, until she noticed his uniform. Her expression brightened instantly.

"You must be the student from Hogwarts! I'd heard one was visiting us here at Uagadou. You must be him, right? Hello, I'm Professor Amari. I teach Potions here, you can call me Professor Amari!"

Wentworth quickly offered a polite bow.

"Hello, Professor Amari. I'm Wentworth, from Hufflepuff House at Hogwarts."

Professor Amari smiled warmly, then asked a question that caught Wentworth completely off guard:

"How's Professor Snape doing?"

Wentworth froze. Of all places, he hadn't expected to hear someone asking about Snape in the middle of Africa.

Still stunned, he replied carefully:

"Sorry, Professor Amari, did you mean… Professor Severus Snape?"

Amari frowned slightly, hesitating.

"Don't tell me there are two Professors Snape at Hogwarts? I meant your school's Potions Master, of course."

Wentworth felt a sudden flare of excitement, he could practically feel the gossip about to unfold.

"Our Professor Snape is doing very well," he said quickly. "He's now the Head of Slytherin House, one of our four school Houses."

Amari nodded thoughtfully.

"I'm not surprised. Severus certainly has the capability. Although… since he's Head of Slytherin and you're from Hufflepuff, would you still consider yourself one of his students?"

At this, Wentworth straightened his back with pride.

"Absolutely, Professor Amari. I've always been one of Professor Snape's students. In fact, for a time, I used to visit his office every evening to study Potions under his guidance. I'd say I'm one of his favorite pupils."

He leaned in slightly, lowering his voice.

"So, Professor Amari… may I ask, how do you know our Professor Snape? Were you… close?"

But just as Wentworth prepared himself for some juicy backstory, Amari's expression changed. Her eyes narrowed, and she spoke through clenched teeth:

"Oh, I know Severus Snape very well. It was him, at the Wizarding Schools Potions Championship, who beat me and walked away with the solid gold cauldron!"

Wentworth's eager smile froze mid-expression. A sense of dread crept over him.

Amari wasn't done.

"And not only that, after the match, I went to congratulate him. I even suggested we stay in touch, exchange letters, share brewing insights. And do you know what he said to me?"
