Delcario was too overwhelmed to say anything.
Ivanov then took his hand and said, "I thought about it. I realized I didn't say enough, and that I made you suffer. I regret it."
Delcario didn't understand how that realization led to all this cash. He looked up at Ivanov, confused and anxious.
"That's why," Ivanov said while taking a breath, "I'm going to take care of you for the rest of your life. This is the money for that."
"Wait."
Delcario stopped him. Ivanov responded in a pitiful voice and calling his name, "Rio…" Then he fell to his knees and begged, saying, "Please."
"N-No! What are you even talking about?!"
Delcario shouted without thinking.
Ivanov looked at him stunned, his mouth slightly open.
Was he seriously acting like Delcario was just going to accept this? That assumption hit a nerve. Delcario snapped.
"What do you mean, 'such a thing'?! You just show up out of nowhere like this—"
Anger rushed in all at once.
