Chapter 123 - Old Gift And Negotiations 4

Osiris gestured for all to take their seats. After the group sorted around finding their seats, the negotiations finally began.

As soon as everyone settled down a small group of servants walked into the room. These beauties placed various treats and drinks on the table before bowing and exiting.

As Laculi grabbed a plate of cakes Osiris spoke. "I think formal introductions are in order. I am the king of the Duat, Osiris."

Heading the queue Laculi spoke up next, "Greetings, I am Laculi an elder class dragon."

She finished with a nod of her head looking at Marco as if signalling him to go next.

Completely ignoring this obvious prompt he turned his gaze towards Aphrodite.

Sighing and on the verge of face palming she spoke "I am Aphrodite the goddess of Beauty."

She spoke as she glared dagger at the stubborn man who again ignored the room and gazed at his wife.

Diya only smiled awkwardly as she introduced herself. "I am Diya a goddess of time."

And finally Marco finished it in the best way possible. "I am Marco a simple stranger in these lands."

Marco's introduction made Osiris and Laculi extremely confused. They have never heard of any powerful being named Marco.

It was the norm in the supernatural world to keep track of any potential super novas, madman, powerhouses and influential figures.

The man's fight alone already placed in under the category of super nova, madman and powerhouse.

It is normal right? No one wants to fight Death, it is not normal ok. What's more this self proclaimed simple stranger beat the brakes off two primordial gods of Death at the same time.

If this was the standard of a simple stranger according to this man's logic what is a monster in his point of view?

These are the typical thoughts of other beings but Osiris did not fall for it. The man was clearly staying humble to withhold information.

If only he knew that Marco was completely serious not thinking mush about his simple win.

From his point of view it was a simple sparring match to test his limits.

From that 'casual match' he learned that he still had much room to grow in his techniques.

That is all he cared to remember for all the grief he put Anubis and Thanatos through.

Osiris mentally questioned Laculi, "Can you tell what is he hiding? This facade of humility is too unbelievable. He must be hiding something."

Hearing Osiris, Laculi's slit like eyes narrowed, she now attempted to see if the man was being truthful.

And to her shock, he was. There is no elevated heart rate upon lying, no lost of composure, nothing!

"King, either he is too proficient in hiding his true intentions that even the eyes of an elder dragon cannot decipher or he is completely honest."

The dragon replied Osiris mentally after her brief but shocking observation.

Osiris looked deeper at Marco and saw something terrifying.

The man' eyes where now pitch black, his face still wore a simple elegant smile.

Waves of power so strong that his court on standby had to reinforce the room they were in less a disaster to erupt.

"That is an interesting conversation Laculi." Marco spoke as he reached for some tea.

Cold sweat now rolled off everyone's but his wife's face.

"Why so rude? Why not let us all in on the conversation." He took a sip before fixing the voids that were his eyes at the pair.

His gentle smile never once faltered.
