Admiring the beautiful portal a moment longer than he should, Marco coughed awkwardly.
"Let's make our way. I am sure we all have better things to do." He hugged Diya a little tighter before floating towards the portal.
This scene, though normal for the beings present but for Diya it was something else.
She felt the magic in the air as they both clung onto each other, gently ascending into a picturesque gate as if climbing the stairs to heaven.
If one did not know any better, they could easily mistake the two for a pair of angels returning to heaven.
Osiris tried his best to ignore the jealous gazes from behind and took to the air.
No long after the massive dragon and goddess of beauty passed through the portal. The jealous little pouts told a story that Osiris really did not want to touch.
As they all passed through the portal, they were greeted by a fantastical scene.
Rows of massive skeletons adorned with shining golden armour stood fully erect along the palace corridor, ready to face any threat. A minor god of wisdom knelt in respect as his king returned.
"Prepare the reception room." Osiris declared. Without a sound, the minor god lowered his head further in understanding and began conveying mental orders.
Attendance moved throughout the castle, preparing everything from the reception room down to even the store rooms.
Osiris, a true king among kings, had the deep respect and acknowledgement of all his people. His citizens tend to overextend their services to please their king, simultaneously, he would strive to better the lives of his citizens.
A never-ending cycle of the people serving the king so that the king can serve his people.
An ideal that few managed to achieve, if all the gods were to declare they had such a society, many would whisper Osiris's name as the ideal instead of the front gods tend to put up.
Marco stood still, as he still carries Diya. She loves the attention and has no intention of giving up her comfortable position now, especially when her beloved was treating her so gently that she could practically melt into his arms.
As she is basking in the comfort of her husband, a lovely goddess slowly walks up to the couple. She wore a gentle, loving smile but the aura around her showed that she was deeply irritated.
Aphrodite stopped before the two and whispered gently, "Its is time to be serious, D I Y A." She practically hissed towards the end.
Acting as though nothing happened, the goddess went back to observing the palace trying her best to ignore the irritated goddess of love.
This act itself apparently was the last straw for Aphrodite, after experiencing so much turmoil just after meeting the trio, she felt the veins in her head pop. She nashed her teeth as she smiled wider and pulled Diya by the ear.
Typically, one would associate this act with the heavenly scene of women playing together but the current picture had a deeply irritated Aphrodite pulling on the ear of the now primordial goddess of time.
One pulled had practically elongating the length of the ear by twice the size while the other now hugged her husband while tears of pain streamed down her beautiful face.
The scene clearly did not belong among a gathering of some of the most powerful gods, but it is the current reality.
Marco now feels compelled to help his wife but does not know if it is appropriate to step in.
He knows from the interactions he observes between his wives that women typically tend to be very playful, sometimes pranks can be taken too far, or actions that had no meaning but looked terrible could fly out of nowhere.
He once tried to intervene but got a lecture from both that they were simply playing, of course he completely destroyed them in bed afterwards to vent his frustrations but that is a story for another time.
