The witch's residence is some distance from the town mayor's house, it is a small courtyard with two entrances, the main gate is made of black wood with red edges, very recognizable. Apparently these two still knew to avoid suspicion and wouldn't dare live too close.
Everyone in the town fears her "mana". If they have no favors to ask, they wouldn't visit her. Even three-year-olds are educated by their parents not to play near her house, lest they cause trouble.
