"Wait, where are you going?"
Chloe Simpson had just stood up and was immediately grabbed by Emily Sterling.
"Mom, I have something to do, I must go out now."
At this moment, Chloe was more anxious than ever.
"What do you have to do? You just had surgery, and as soon as you open your eyes, you want to run out. What's more important than your health? You are not allowed to go out. Stay here until the doctor says you can leave."
Emily Sterling held onto Chloe's arm tightly, not letting her leave.
"Mom, don't worry. I'll just go out for a bit. I'll be right back in the hospital, okay?"
Chloe spoke helplessly, trying to negotiate with Emily.
"No, I said you can only go out when the doctor says you can."
No matter what, Emily refused to let Chloe leave.
Fortunately, at this moment, the doctor walked in.
"Doctor, look, I'm awake, and I'm fine. Can I go out for a bit? I promise I'll just stay in the hospital and won't wander around. I'll be back in 10 minutes at most."
