Ji Sang's fingers slid ceaselessly over the phone screen, her longing for Fu Yisi intensifying as she went through their chat history.
What might he be doing this late? Busy in his study, or perhaps he's already resting?
Her finger lingered on the keyboard for a long time. Although Fu Yisi had said she could message him whenever she had time, Ji Sang didn't want to let herself go just on the first day. How many hours had it been since they parted?
If she messaged him now, Fu Yisi would surely be smug about it, Ji Sang thought.
She put down her phone, closed her eyes, her fingers unconsciously gripping the sheets, but counting sheep again did nothing to usher in sleep. Reluctantly, she grabbed her phone once again; it was already midnight.
She hasn't had insomnia like this in a long while.
Ji Sang tossed and turned in bed, scratching her head in irritation and indecision.
She opened Fu Yisi's chat box once again.
