At the entrance of Eastern Hospital, Emily had just gotten out of the car when she heard Evelyn Hanson's exaggerated exclamation coming from the hospital door.
"Emily!" Evelyn rushed over in a few strides, her eyes wide with disbelief, "How has your belly grown so big in just half a month? It's like a balloon!" She reached out with hesitation, like a curious child, wanting but not daring to touch.
Emily looked down at her own rounded belly. Under the beige maternity dress, the curve was indeed much more pronounced than the last time they met.
She gently caressed her belly, a soft smile subconsciously appeared on her lips: "Didn't the doctor hint last time that it might be twins?"
"Oh my goodness! Is it really twins?" Evelyn was so excited she almost jumped, then quickly supported Emily, "No way, these two little ones must recognize me as their godmother! I want to be the most doting godmother!"
