Beep, beep.
In the chaos, Lin Xian felt as if the alert tone from his watch was slowly growing from distant to deafening in the darkness.
He realized he was awake, or rather, back to reality.
On the large bed in the living cabin of Car No. 1, Lin Xian felt his eyelids heavy. Before he opened his eyes, a hot wave accompanied by loud howls flooded into his mind.
His brain immediately responded.
Muffled, scorching, dry, oppressive.
Lin Xian opened his dry lips, and next to the pillow was the blackout shade of the Infinity. The hot wave and howling sounds were coming from outside.
Lin Xian focused his mind and first raised his hand to look at his watch.
"11 o'clock. I actually…slept for 9 hours…"
Rubbing his heavy head, Lin Xian recalled the experience of being invaded by darkness before falling asleep. He frowned slightly; the feeling was unforgettable and not something he wished to endure a second time.
He raised his hand and opened the blackout shade.
