"Click~"
Saturday, early morning.
Aunt Chen's room on the first floor opened, and the elderly Aunt Chen got up early to clean and prepare breakfast.
Opening the door, she did not expect to see Ye Lan sitting at the dining table early on, looking worried, wearing a nightgown, holding a steaming cup of coffee.
Seeing this, Aunt Chen was slightly startled and asked,
"Miss, are you up so early today?"
Ye Lan propped her cheeks, her fingertips leaking strands of loose hair, she glanced at Aunt Chen and said,
"Ah, Aunt Chen, good morning."
"What's wrong?"
"...Nothing, just couldn't sleep a bit."
As she talked, Ye Lan took a sip of her coffee.
Aunt Chen gave a slight smile and came over to her,
"Then that's good... I'll go make breakfast and then start cleaning, alright."
"Okay..."
Ye Lan sipped her coffee and responded absently, her gaze still somewhat distant.
She was merely pondering over what happened last night.
