"What's wrong with my face?" Ye Shikai curiously asked, to which the secretary responded with a chuckle, retrieving a compact mirror from her handbag and passing it to Ye Shikai.

Ye Shikai saw, on his more than fair face, a striking red handprint—the very slap Luo Shiqi had delivered moments ago. Goodness, she had hit with such force; Ye Shikai had only felt a numbness on his cheek then and hadn't realized Luo Shiqi really struck him hard.
"Do you want to borrow some foundation to cover it up?" the secretary jested with a laugh.
"Hehe, no need," Ye Shikai said with an awkward smile, placing the mirror on the table and then quickly leaving the Haitian Building.
