The dense Life Tree is the Origin of Life for the elves. Like all plants that require photosynthesis, their vitality dips at night, and the Life Tree is no exception.
Around the tree, there were hundreds of elven soldiers responsible for guarding it. The elves' vision was as good as their ability to leap, enhanced by their Inner Strength, giving them a significant advantage in nighttime combat.
"Swoosh swoosh swoosh."
"Did you hear something?" Beneath the tree, an elven soldier lifted his head, thinking he had just heard the sound of someone sneaking in.
"No, it's probably just the sound of wind blowing through the leaves." The elf soldier next to him looked up, seeing no one among the leaves.
"Stop making a fuss and stay focused on patrolling."
