The city walls, towering at a height of thirty zhang, were like a silver dragon coiled above the clouds, with the walls appearing as if they were clouds in various shapes frozen in ice—some like galloping steeds, others like majestic Peng birds spreading their wings. Under the sunlight, they refracted multicolored glows.
Every eight zhang along the city walls stood an octagonal watchtower, each roof embedded with translucent spheres the size of a basin, radiating a gentle glow.
