A hearty voice sounded, belonging to a muscular man over two meters tall, with a robust physique, knotted muscles, and a rugged, bold face framed by thick eyebrows sharp as knives.
"Yan, not bad, your Martial Arts have improved again," Ning Fengyuan mused with a softened expression as he looked at the "young man" before him. "You're about to break through to the Heart Image, aren't you?"
The man in front of him was one of the previous generation's Arrogant Sun, Yan Ruhuo.
Coming from an ordinary family, he rose to prominence without ever fully "selling out" to any major power. After ascending to the rank of Arrogant Sun, he chose to join the Federation War Command Department and took a Vice-Minister as his mentor.
The War Command Department holds a notable status within the Federation, especially in light of the ongoing Nine States expansion project which largely requires the Department's approval.
