Chairman Zhang glanced at the water Li Hua handed over without any intention to take it. Li Hua awkwardly put the cup down, lowered his head, and said nothing.
Seeing this, Chairman Li stepped in to smooth things over, "Chairman Zhang, do you think we should speed up the land contract for the south side?"
Chairman Zhang nodded, "Go back and ask Xiao Zhang to prepare. Let's aim to launch next week."
Another director sitting nearby joined the discussion, and the dinner concluded amidst their conversation.
On the way home, I walked slowly behind Huang Puchen, lost in thought, and bumped into a wall of flesh, "
"What are you thinking about?" Huang Puchen asked while helping to rub the bump on my forehead.
"It's nothing." I couldn't possibly tell him I was sulking about why he always attracts attention wherever he goes, no way I'm telling him that.
"Li Hua was just a little distraction. There's really nothing between us, don't overthink it."
