Chapter 29 - Authorities[II]

[Authority of Midas]

Golden Rule: Authority usurped from the God Midas, it had two special powers. The first was the curse that transforms anything in the material world into gold. It is considered the strongest curse, one that could only be dispelled with a strong purification Authority. As a curse, it is imperceptible as magic and therefore almost impossible to defend against or escape. Only Campiones and Heretic Gods could resist or escape, and if they had a purification Authority, they could nullify it. The gold he creates is also virtually indestructible and inflexible; after identification by magic, it is registered as gold but made of a material entirely different from natural gold.

The second special power was simply infinite wealth, where he is destined to live a life of riches wherever he goes. He could literally find a diamond on the street or something like that when he didn't have his wallet, making it impossible for him to become poor…

Incantation:

"Cursed gold whose touch brought perdition, whose excessive greed was a lesson. Transform all this land into gold…"

[Authority of Baal-Zebub]

Three Aspects: The Authority usurped from the Lord of Flies was divided into three separate Aspects or incarnations.

The First Aspect was inherited from his position as a Divine King, derived from a Philistine god, previously worshipped in Ekron, and later adopted by some Abrahamic religions as a major demon, but this aspect came from Baal. Baal (also known as Ba'al) is a Canaanite-Phoenician god of fertility and weather, specifically storms. This incarnation gave him only one primary power, the ability to use one Authority from each Canaanite god, representing his position as King of the Gods. When activated, he can use all these powers as if they were his own abilities, but only once.

These Seven Powers are:

[Astarte] - War Manipulation, where he could easily induce wars between countries, starting by influencing people and events, forming his own armies, gaining power from the conflict itself, and granting combat abilities to others.

[Mot] - Life Devourer, can swallow the life force of all those he touches and convert it into power. The more deaths, the more power he gains, but there is a limit.

[Anat] - Unmatched Hunter, gives him heightened senses and the ability to hunt any target he desires, with targets never able to escape him.

[Kothar-wa-Khasis] - Perfect Choice, gives him the ability to have the wisdom of the perfect choice, the best decision, and the most intelligent action while in battle.

[Asherah] - Accelerated Regeneration, allows him to regenerate lost limbs in less than ten seconds, fatal wounds would regenerate in minutes, and the only way to kill him would be to destroy his head or heart.

[Dumat] - Ability to create a domain of silence or sound isolation, making it impossible for sound from a location to be heard by any entity outside.

[Melqart] - Protective Hero, gives him the ability to take damage meant for others onto himself.

The Second Aspect came from his version as the Fallen Angel of Pestilence, one of the Seven Princes of Hell. This power gave him three capabilities. The first was the power to create, shape, and manipulate pestilence, including plagues, locusts that ruin crops, and flies that carry diseases. He also gains immunity to plagues and viruses and can create, summon, and control diseases and viruses. Another power was the ability to create, shape, and manipulate vibrations, rhythmic movements of a target, including himself, others, objects, and the environment. He could use vibrations for near-unstoppable offensive damage attacks or to stun targets and cause serious auditory issues. Lastly, he gained the ability to use the basic powers of a fallen angel from legends and myths, such as summoning wings to fly, manipulating sin, using corrupted light for attacks, etc.

The Third Aspect of this power gave three basic abilities: the ability to consume anything—magical attacks, Authorities, items, matter, living beings, souls, etc. He could destructively consume anything and everything, even on a conceptual level, by touching with his hand or turning any attack into something edible with a gesture. As the ruler of Spirits, he could also summon souls he had devoured to fight for him. These souls would retain the strength they had in life and gain a temporary physical body to interact with the world. Lastly, he gained the power to possess bodies.

Incantations:

"O King of the Gods, hear my voice, bring the authority of those under my position. May my wisdom and strength be unmatched, and may all bow to my will."

"I call upon plagues and chaos,

May the vibration of shadows guide me,

With the power of pestilence and corrupted light, let nothing stop me."

"I am the devourer, nothing escapes me, I touch and consume all, living and dead, with the spirits I've controlled, nothing remains unpossessed."

[Authority of Verethragna] (Persian Lord of War)

Ten Incarnations: Adam usurped all Ten Incarnations of Verethragna after defeating him. However, some Incarnations only function under certain conditions, and all can only be used once per day. Currently, the cooldown has been reduced to half a day.

**Storm (Gale):** Grants Adam the power to go anywhere instantly, even traveling between the Netherworld and the world of the living. Crossing between parallel worlds is also possible with this incarnation. The wind itself has minor exorcising effects; if the enemies around the summoner are weak, he can destroy them with its power. The condition for use is that someone who knows him personally and is in danger must shout his name to call him to that location.

**Bull:** Grants Adam the same strength as Hercules in his myths. It can only be used against something with superhuman strength, like a bear, or an object with great mass coming toward him, like a train or a boulder. If used against an enemy with superhuman strength, this incarnation automatically increases his base strength to match the enemy's. The Bull will increase its power proportionally to the target's size and weight. He can inject magical energy to drastically enhance his already amplified physical strength. When facing someone with strength within human limits, like a bodybuilder, "Bull" will not activate.

**White Stallion:** Grants the ability to summon a pseudo-sun to fire a lance of light at his enemy. A flame from this incarnation is equal in power to a solar explosion. It can only be used against those who have committed great sins against the people. He could even use himself as the target of the attack to defeat an enemy, shaping the flame into a flaming horse charging toward the enemy. A flame from this avatar can burn a conceptual manifestation of fate. The upper limit of this incarnation is unknown, said to be a universe-scale explosion capable of incinerating the infinite territory of the Goddess of Fate. When used in conjunction with the Warrior Authority, it allows the swords to fuse with the Stallion to reach light speed and become a wide-area attack that can fire blades kilometers away.

**Camel:** Grants Adam an increase in combat abilities, leg strength, defense, battle instincts, and self-recovery. He can send magical power to his foot while kicking, causing an explosion. Considered one of the incarnations most associated with the Earth, along with the Bull. The condition for use is that he must suffer a certain level of injury.

**Boar:** Summons a giant Boar, a Divine Beast believed to embody Adam's destructive impulses, to trample everything in its path. Its power seems to surpass that of normal Divine Beasts, being an incarnation of a god rather than its servant, giving enough power to injure or possibly kill Heretic Gods. He must target a large structure or enemy for the incarnation to activate. During use, Adam gains more speed, defense, and strength, but it can only be used in a direct charge. Its roar is powerful enough to create shockwaves capable of breaking glass and damaging nearby buildings. At maximum power, these roars can even disperse clouds in the sky. The Boar can be used as an attack or as a steed and can cover its body with blazing flames. The Boar can survive in space, as it was sent to the moon during his fight against Hanuman.

**Youth (Adolescent):** Allows Adam to enter a calm state of mind and grant the divine protection of the God of Victory to others, giving them the vitality of a Campione and magical protection. The ritual requires him to blow the protection onto the target through kisses. The condition is that the partner being kissed must abandon their worldly ties and pledge their soul to follow Adam for eternity, or the Youth will have no effect. It will increase the target's parameters to the level of a Godslayer, enhancing their body and magical energy. It also grants extremely strong magical resistance, similar to that of a Campione. The blessing of victory can trigger an evolution of an innate ability. This incarnation not only grants a blessing but also heals all wounds, health issues like poisoning or disease, and can even resurrect someone from death if used on their corpse.

This form has an alternative use where the user can grant divine protection through means other than direct physical contact, like a kiss. If the targets declare absolute loyalty to Adam, he can grant them his blood or bodily fluid to act as a medium. This method allows the creation of an extremely powerful talisman capable of resisting divine Authorities for a limited time.

**Raptor (Bird of Prey):** Grants Adam God Speed, or speed akin to that of a god, as well as an extremely light body. It can also slow him down as much. The condition for use is that he must be attacked by a fast blow exceeding normal parameters or recite the chant. (Things like bullets, ambushes by maddened wild beasts, or an attack from a talented martial artist are sufficient to activate the Raptor.) When using this form, as long as he can carry it with both hands, objects also become light.

**Ram:** Offers miraculous recovery powers that allow him to resurrect from the dead and recover from injuries in the process. The effect is not instantaneous, and it will take some time for him to awaken. Two and a half hours was the fastest time. If Adam's body were completely destroyed, the Ram would bypass its delay and instantly heal the body back to its perfect state. However, he would not regain consciousness for a while. It must be activated before the moment of his death, or he will die permanently.

**Goat:** Grants absolute control over Lightning, allows him to hear people's hearts, and grants him priestly authority, great magical power, and wisdom. Though this form lacks destructive capacity on the same level as the White Stallion, its lightning can penetrate through Godslayers and the magical resistance of gods. It also grants him Psychic Detection. He can only use this power if there are people present who wish to stand with him and be his strength; only then will it activate.

This form is exclusively specialized in controlling lightning and magic, so it can overpower other Authorities with broader weather control, like Voban's weather Authority. Taking control over the enemy's lightning or storm clouds is possible. He can transform lightning into different forms, such as a giant dome the size of the Tokyo Dome. As an avatar of wisdom, it grants him the abilities of a great mage, enhancing his understanding, aptitude, and skill in a field of magic. This form also increases his ability to resist other Godslayers' Authorities due to his enhanced control over his own magical energy.

**Warrior:** Allows Adam to create countless Golden Swords capable of removing the divinity from any God, rendering them mortal and thus negating their divine Authorities. He can only use it if he has sufficient knowledge of the enemy or the divinity from which the enemy's Authority is derived. The Golden Sword is tailored to the specific god (or the god's Authority, in the case of a Campione) he is facing, using knowledge of that god. If necessary, the Golden Sword can be adapted to affect a second god, but only if the two gods share enough characteristics, like both being earth gods or steel gods. If the Heretic God manifests different aspects of itself, the created sword will only negate one aspect, leaving the other untouched.

**Incantations:**

"For I am the strongest among the strong. Truly, I am the one who holds every victory. I care not who challenges me, be it man or demon; I can face all my enemies and adversaries. Regardless, I shall crush all those who stand in my way!" (Bull)

"O mighty bull with shining golden horns, grant me your aid!" (Bull)

"As the one who holds all victory in my hands, I am the strongest. Man and devil—all enemies, all who harbor enmity shall be defeated. Therefore, I shall crush all enemies in my path!" (Bull)

"Glorious lord of the sun, Mitra be praised! To conquer all enemies, I beseech you grant my strongest self thousands of light and thousands of swords!" (White Stallion)

"For victory, hasten before me! O Immortal Sun, I beseech you grant radiance to the stallion. O Stallion that moves like a god with wondrous grace, bring forth the halo of your master!" (White Stallion)

"Every sinner shall tremble before my power. Now is the time, that I obtain the toughness of ten mountains, the strength of a hundred rivers, and the power of a thousand camels! Upon my mighty self, I shall bear the symbol of the raging camel!" (Camel)

"All evildoers, tremble before my strength… Upon my mighty self, I shall bear the symbol of the raging camel." (Camel)

"May your spine be crushed; may your bones be broken, your tendons torn, your hair uprooted from your skull; may your blood, spilled upon the earth, turn into bloody foam. I shall become the one who buries fangs in the sinner's flesh, so that the Lord's will be followed: Thou shalt be purged!" (Boar)

"Thus speaks Lord Mitra. The sinners shall be met with justice. May spines be crushed, may bones be broken, tendons torn; hair, brains, and blood be mixed and trampled with the earth! The one who is not dulled and unapproachable! Oath-breaking sinners be purged by the iron hammer of justice!" (Boar)

"The Boar shall ravage you! The Boar shall exterminate you!" (Boar)

"This is my boast of victory over the gods, the hymn of my strength!" (Boar)

"This is my taunt to the gods, who are my enemies!" (Boar)

"This is my declaration of defiance, to gain my divine strength!" (Boar)

"I am the enemy of all gods! I am the usurper of divine strength!" (Boar)

"The bearer of sharp fangs! Killing with one blow, trampling enemies to dust!" (Boar)

"Hasten and swear! Stand by my side no matter what happens… Even if life is coming to an end, even if the world itself is coming to an end, even if it means fighting all the gods, stand by my side forever!" (Adolescent)

"I come for victory. I come for the sake of support, for the sake of healing, for the sake of justice, for the sake of the good life. Receive my coming with adoration! O my retainers, I disapprove of death without my approval. The divine protection of the sacred war god will not acknowledge even the tranquility of death. Savor the special privilege and suffering of the chosen, alongside me." (Adolescent)

"Fear of the winged, both the wicked and the mighty, all shall fear me who holds these feathered wings. My wings shall bring you curse and just deserts!" (Raptor)

"O lightning! O lightning! I am the conqueror who defeated a thousand with a hundred, ten thousand with a thousand, and tens of thousands with ten thousand. Now, for the sake of me who stands with justice, release the radiant, shining brilliance and grant me divine power!" (Goat)

"Heed the power of my words, let justice reveal itself, under the strength and eloquence of this incantation, for strength is ever victorious, for strength is the answer to all things." (Warrior)

"Manifesting justice in this world through these my magical words! Divine power indeed resides in my oratory incantation!" (Warrior)

"O Sword, shine with splendor for my victory and justice!" (Warrior)

"I am the dragon of injustice, the strongest and most wicked of butchers! The sword that protects the men and women of righteousness, obey me!" (Warrior)

"Eloquent and mighty. I am the sword of wisdom, the one who shatters enemies. I am the strongest, for I am the one who holds all victory in my hands. I shall crush all enemies in my path!" (Warrior)

"All things evil fear me! Unjust beings of power cannot defeat me!—for I am the strongest, capable of breaking all barriers!" (Warrior)

"By the skills with which I wield magical words, let the justice of the world manifest!" (Warrior)

"I am the strongest bearer of victory! Obstructions, be cleared from my path!" (Warrior)

"Evildoers shall never triumph over me! Tremble before the greatness of my strength!" (Warrior)

"I am the strongest, I shall crush all enemies in my path. O blade belonging to the savior of the just, fragments of the glorious sun. Through this, serve the incarnation of victory!" (Warrior)

**[Authority of Athena]**

**Gorgon's Eye:** This Authority was usurped from Athena. It transforms the left eye into a mystical rainbow-colored eye that can stop time in a limited space.

Normally, this Authority is supposed to be the petrifying eyes. It is a different version of the Petrification Eyes due to adapting to the user.

**Time Stop:** The magical eye releases a time-stopping curse. The target object can be anything and everything, ranging from a solid object, human body, divine beast, Godslayer, to a more abstract concept like a person's time. The frozen object will not move or be moved, regardless of the force applied to it, as its time is stopped. The activation range is wide, potentially freezing an entire city if he is not careful. The Authority also excels in stealth and speed. He can also adjust how long he wants to stop the target's time, from as short as a few seconds to a matter of hours. Due to its massive power, even Godslayers will struggle to shake off its effect from their bodies. When used on Godslayers, this mystical eye shows varied results, ranging from completely stopping Luo Hao's time for a fraction of a second, which she couldn't register as an arrow already pierced her abdomen, to freezing for a marginally longer period but leaving their minds untouched. This may result from the user's inexperience, the number of targets, and how prepared they are.

There is a way to resist this Authority. A Godslayer's body is endowed with overwhelming resistance to magic and curses. At best, it can stop a Godslayer's time for one or two seconds. However, it is much more effective if he targets only a specific portion of a Godslayer's power.

**Fatigue:** If he overexerts this Authority beyond its limit, his body will suffer extreme exhaustion to the point where he can neither speak nor move.

**Black Hole:** This Authority mimics the events where a star reaches its end, resulting in a miniature black hole that consumes everything in existence. The suction force of this Authority is immense, capable of consuming an entire continent when it was still incomplete. Similar to a real black hole, the dark sphere generated by this Authority can bend the laws of physics like the real thing, but on a smaller scale. Normally, it takes a while for the Authority to reach its peak, but it is possible to accelerate the process by pouring double the energy into it.

**Incantations:**

"The World, Stop Time!" (Gorgon's Eye)

"Star that brings the End, swallow life and death, and fulfill your purpose." (Black Hole)

**[Authority of Circe]**

**Illusory Reality:** This Authority, usurped from the Sorceress Circe, gives him the ability to create illusions powerful enough to deceive Godslayers and Heretic Gods. He could literally create entire parallel universes of illusion, so detailed that the enemy hardly notices the difference.

**Incantations:**

"Get lost in my reality, fade into a world I created, and be swallowed by your desires and fears."

**[Authority of Rama]**

This Authority is essentially the representation of his [King of the End] powers that Adam acquired. It took shape after he killed Rama, the Hero Exterminator of Demon Kings, in another alternate universe, serving as an annex to the powers he had already gained by taking the fate of the King of the End.

**Divine Sword of Salvation:** It is a weapon designed to kill Campiones. As such, it can unleash incredible destructive force in the form of a barrage of lightning. When used with greater power, these lightning bolts become spearheads with iron weapons. If a Campione is hit by these weapons, they find that their superhuman recovery is useless, as the wounds heal as if the victim were a normal human. Even healing magic is useless for speeding up recovery. Only by triggering the natural Campione reaction to combat with a Heretic God can the curse be broken.

**[White Star]** - Creates a white star resembling a mini-sun that can fire deadly projectiles that seem to have a light-based nature. The destructive power of these missiles resembles the impact of small meteors. The same white star can be used similarly to the [White Stallion] Authority, though with much more power. Its limits are unknown, but it has proven capable of destroying mountains and leveling large expanses of land the size of a city. It can poison Demon Kings who survive being hit by its missiles, preventing them from using their immense magical power, thus blocking their ability to use Authorities for some time.

**[Lightning of Salvation]** - This powerful lightning is generated from the swings of his sword or in the form of lightning constantly falling from the sky. These lightning bolts also have the ability to poison Demon Kings. A Campione without a steel body Authority cannot withstand two consecutive hits from this lightning, and dodging this Authority requires a divine speed Authority. As a side effect of this power, each swing of his sword radiates massive heat waves that devastate vegetation, wildlife, and any structures within a five-kilometer radius.

Its true form is the Divine Mandala of Salvation, which allows him to summon every weapon in his arsenal, which, according to his myth, are gifts from various gods of Chinese, Hindu, Persian, and Buddhist mythologies.

**Arrow of Lord Shiva:** This divine arrow can generate powerful energy blasts that destroy everything in their path, estimated to have the power to destroy a city like Tokyo in one shot. According to the myth, this arrow can kill a Demon King in a single blow.

**Arrow of Indra:** This arrow has the power of lightning and can devastate areas the size of a city or destroy a mountain.

**Arrow of Mitra:** This arrow can restrict the Authorities of the god Mitra or his subordinates.

**Arrow of Hou Yi (False):** A copy of the arrow used by the legendary Chinese hero who shot down nine suns, the first black arrow bow with destructive power sufficient to destroy a mountain range and even an entire Japanese prefecture.

**Arrow of Hou Yi (True):** The true arrow of the Chinese hero. This bow and arrows have the power to nullify sun-based Authorities.

**Steel Bow:** Symbol of a "steel god." This weapon represents his mastery over various weapons (usually arrows gifted by other gods). Merely wielding this bow causes magnitude 4 earthquakes in the region.

**Vimana:** Symbol of the "steel god's" vehicle, resembling mythological flying chariots. This chariot allows him to fly, move at divine speed, and travel in outer space (the maximum distance he can cover in space is unknown).

**Pushpaka Vimana:** The most powerful manifestation of Vimana, requiring a Vimana the size of a small city, equipped with a powerful weapon that fires lightning. This magnificent chariot was a gift from the Hindu god of treasures.

Among other weapons.

**Great Ritual of the Ancient Covenant:** After the events of defeating the Goddess of Fate, Adam used the power he usurped from her to bind himself to the fate of the Extermination Hero, granting him the [Great Ritual of the Ancient Covenant], which multiplies his power and allows him to use the Divine Sword of Salvation, even though he is a Campione.

*No Incantation*

**[Authority of Lancelot] (Lost)**

**White Knight's Charge:** After Lancelot swore loyalty to Adam, she became one of his Authorities, similar to Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi. She has a thirty-minute limit to fight at full power and is usually dissipated in the form of wind or clouds protecting Adam.

Adam made a contract with her, allowing her to remain in her original world linked to the Holy Grail, acting as a form of defense in case a Heretic God manifests, thus losing the Authority.

Lost Authority, no incantations.

**[Authority of the Goddess of Fate]**

**King of Fate:** An Authority that grants Adam limited manipulation over the strings of fate. He can remove or alter the fate of a target or himself. For example, he can take away a person's fate of being a great hero and grant it to another. However, he is unable to weave or create fate with this Authority.

Adam can also perceive the fate of all existing beings, including Gods. If he allows, he can grant this ability to another person.

*No Incantations*

**[Authority of Seth]**

**Titanic Strength:** Grants Adam the strength of a titan, derived from the aspect of Typhon, the Greek version of Seth. Using this Authority with two others, Adam managed to destroy several stars in his battle against Zurvan and the King of the End, who ambushed him. It was enough to break both their defenses and seriously injure them with pure punches.

**Incantation:**

"Divine Strength that crushes the Gods, come!"

**Apophis Isfet Neter:** The serpent said to lurk to kill Ra as he traveled through the skies of Ancient Egypt. This Authority summons an avatar of the God that Seth killed. Everything that falls under its Authority is transformed into numerical values and then converted into energy, which he absorbs to "fuel" the avatar's size. The more he absorbs, the larger Apophis becomes, potentially enveloping the entire world if given enough time. Apophis obeys his commands without hesitation. It can seal sun-based Authorities by swallowing their attacks with its mouth.

**Incantation:**

"Serpent of Chaos that stalked the Sun, envelop the world in your grandeur!"

Below is the full and unaltered translation of the provided text into English.

---

**Naqada: The Golden Necropolis:** One of the oldest Egyptian cities and a major center of Seth's worship. Also called "The City of Gold," it is a massive flying structure with a variety of functions. In reality, it is a super terminal capable of feats that can only be considered achievable in the realm of the Gods. It feeds on the souls of the dead in its possession or those who have died and worshipped it to function and remain aloft. While active, Adam is able to use all the powers of those who have died. When activated, it also makes all his servants immortal as long as Adam is alive/desires such a thing. When used in conjunction with the authority he usurped from Baal-Zebub, the limitation of having enough souls to sustain this authority is almost irrelevant.

**Incantations:**

"Naqada, city of gold and home of the departed, awaken from your eternal slumber!

Let the echoes of the dead resound and fuel your immortal glory!

Rise from the hidden realms and subdue the present with the power of the ancestors!"

"O forgotten spirits, return to the city that welcomed you! Let your essences nourish eternity and strengthen the will of the one who reigns over you!

The Necropolis rises, sustained by your memories and loyalty!"

"Those who have fallen are not forgotten! By the bonds of gold and fate, I call you back!

Lend me your strength, skills, and wisdom, so that the past and the present become one!"

**Per Djet:** This is the Authority usurped by Adam from Seth to divide the enemy into fourteen pieces and intern them, representing how he killed Osiris.

When used, Adam's arms become Divine Arms, the color of sand, decorated with ankhs and seven orbs on each arm. He possesses extreme physical strength in his arms, capable of rivaling and surpassing the strength of Luo Hao when she uses her [Vajrapani Divine Power] Authority.

Each time Adam strikes the enemy with his divine arms, a part of the enemy's body is "buried" within them, represented by one of the orbs lighting up, and the enemy can no longer use that part of their body. This can be done up to fourteen times, burying up to fourteen body parts. For example, if the enemy is struck on the left hand, the hand becomes unresponsive.

With the incantation "Per Djet, all tombs released," Adam can release the buried body parts to use the enemy's Authorities as if they were his own. However, when he does this, the enemy regains the use of their body parts.

When using Per Djet, Adam can also control sand and sandstorms.

**Incantations:**

"Now is the time, O Lord of the Red Lands, grant me the strength to destroy the Heavens and Rule the Earth!"

"O Spirit of the Sands, reside in my arms and grant me the strength to destroy the Heavens and the Earth!"

**[Authority of Pazuzu]**

**Insanity and Madness:** The authority obtained from the Demon King of the Wind in Mesopotamian mythology, it gives him the ability to make Authorities and other magics go mad and slip out of their users' control. Powerful magical artifacts will spontaneously combust when near him. Additionally, he can induce madness, delusions, and diseases in all who look into his eyes. He could also release a dark wind that distorts the perception of reality, causing enemies to fight among themselves or attack hallucinations. Combined with his [Illusory Reality] usurped from Circe, it was almost impossible for even Campiones or [Heretic Gods] with innate resistance to escape. He can also use it in two other forms.

**[Song of the Mad]** - An inaudible whisper that invades the minds of those affected, driving them to paranoia and irrational fear.

**[Avatar of Chaos]** - If used at its peak, this authority could warp the surrounding environment, creating a world where physical and magical laws break down, but this would also cause him to lose the ability to use his own magic and authorities.

**Incantations:**

"O winds of oblivion, whisper the distorted truth! Let enchantments writhe and betray their masters! Let their own power turn against their owners, for order is but a fleeting illusion!"

"Gold turns to ashes, power devours itself! Nothing forged by man shall withstand my touch! Let the flame of madness reduce all to dust!"

"Behold and despair! The veils of sanity tear before the King of the Winds! The truth is an abyss, and those who gaze upon me shall fall without return!"

**[Authority of Hercules]**

**Hand of God:** This is the Authority that Adam obtained from Hercules, crystallizing his Twelve Labors, and can be considered a blessing he received after his death. This Authority is very similar to the invulnerable skin of [Steel Gods]. It is an Authority that grants a "body that knows no death…"

It is an Authority that requires attacks of the highest degree to harm him and prevents him from being scratched by anyone, described as "almost unfair" even by acquaintances.

It lacks an overt external manifestation, such as a weapon or armor, but if one were to assign it a form, it could be said to be the user's own body. It transforms the body into resilient armor that functions similarly to a conceptual weapon in practice. It provides three effects: resurrection, attack negation, and the ability to gain "immunity to an attack he has previously experienced."

Unlike armor that is merely resilient and will eventually wither under damage, the [Hand of God] applies a conceptual defense based on gradations, a "law of immortality created from abnormal amounts of magical energy."

It defends against all attacks, regardless of whether the attack is physical or magical in nature. It also grants the effect of automatic regeneration, including resurrection after death, reviving him with a stock of eleven extra lives through layered resurrection magic. He has lives equal to the number of labors Hercules overcame to atone for his sins, making him an "immortal," as he must be killed once for each labor to be fully eliminated.

Every time he is injured by an attack, regardless of whether it leads to death, he gains resistance after healing. For example, if damaged by flames, he would gain approximately "+100 fire resistance" after healing. Instead of making attacks "completely ineffective," it renders subsequent attacks nearly useless against him.

No matter the power of the Authority used to kill him, it will be negated after he resurrects, so even the greatest attack will not be effective against him twice, requiring different methods to take each subsequent life.

It is worth noting that Adam takes an entire month to recover just one life.

*No Incantations*

**[Authority of Samael]**

**Poison of God:** Samael, in Jewish tradition, is an ambiguous angel, considered both a destroyer and a divine accuser. His name can be translated as "Poison of God," and he is associated with death, judgment, and corruption. The authority usurped from him is based on divine poison that can destroy both bodies and souls.

A single touch from Adam can poison the victim on both a physical and spiritual level, preventing normal healing and even resurrection. The poison spreads through the soul, making purification by divine means impossible. The effect can be adjusted: from a lethal poison to a slow and torturous corruption. He could combine it with his [Three Aspects] authority to make his flies carry his poison, capable of devastating an entire country in seconds.

Adam can release a poisonous mist that contaminates everything around, poisoning those who breathe the air. The poison can have varied effects: from weakening to progressive deterioration. Passively, Adam's blood is itself a divine poison. Anyone who injures him or tries to absorb his energy will be corrupted by Samael, suffering unpredictable effects. It can be used as a weapon: a single drop of his blood can infect rivers, lands, and even magical artifacts.

**Incantations:**

"The poison of the Most High permeates my essence. Let the flesh rot, let the soul be corrupted. No blessing can purify what has been touched by the Angel of Ruin!"

"Samael, bearer of the end, breathe your truth. Let the winds carry ruin and cover the world with the breath of destruction!"

**[Authority of Izanami]**

**Creator of Annihilation:** Izanami, in Japanese mythology, is the Goddess of Death and the Underworld, the creator of destruction after her transformation in Yomi-no-Kuni (the Realm of the Dead). This authority grants him two main powers. The first is the ability to use the world of Yomi to create beasts from his imagination. As such, the sharper the user's imagination and productivity, the more powerful the creature, capable of rivaling and surpassing most [Divine Beasts], as well as producing a greater variety of creatures. These include monsters designed to target an opponent's weaknesses, creating an anti-monster for everything, capable of even killing [Heretic Gods] and [Campiones].

The second power of this authority is Conditional Immortality: Adam can grant immortality to a being, but under specific conditions: the immortal being must fulfill a task or suffer eternal punishment, never able to escape this curse. He made it so that the condition for his wives to remain alive with infinite longevity was to never betray him. If a being wishes to escape this curse, they begin to suffer growing agony, as a punishment from existence itself. Their soul is tormented by the idea of an impossible death.

**Incantations:**

"From the abyss of Yomi, I bring the end. From eternal darkness, the creation that destroys is born."

"In the shadows of Yomi, the beasts are born. Each one is a manifestation of destruction and death."

"I am the eternity that imprisons. No one shall escape my dominion."

"For every threat, I create destruction. For every enemy, failure becomes their essence."

**[Authority of King Arthur]**

**Excalibur:** The most famous holy sword in the world, it appears as a large blade with blue and gold details, designed to be wielded with both hands, though Adam can use it with just one hand, as the sword seems to have no weight for him.

While King Arthur is merely one of the names of the King of the End, he came to exist as a separate Heretic God. Similarly, Excalibur was born using the Divine Sword of Salvation as a prototype, thus possessing immense power.

Excalibur has extraordinary sharpness, capable of cutting through the invulnerable skin of Steel Gods, even that of Rama, without any issue. In legend, it is described as "capable of cutting iron and steel." Excalibur's sharpness is comparable to the [Silver-Rending Arm] Authority, able to cut anything on Earth, becoming even sharper when used in conjunction with that authority.

Due to its connection with the sun sword Gram, wielded by Sigurd, Excalibur is also capable of nullifying sun-based Authorities by absorbing their power, and it is extremely effective against Mother Earth Goddesses.

Excalibur is a directed-energy weapon that converts the wielder's energy into light, accelerating it, intensifying kinetic energy through convergence and acceleration. It is a "final killing technique" that releases light from the blade's tip once the sword is swung: while the result appears to be a large beam of light, only the tip of the attack, which is a wave of light that can slice the Earth's surface, is capable of causing damage, as the beam is the result of the "displacement" of everything the attack destroys in its path.

The released energy is said to be as powerful as the Divine Sword of Salvation. When unleashed at full power, it is capable of cutting through Rama's [Platinum Star] and piercing his [Steel Body], killing him in another alternate universe where Adam faced him—the third or fourth...? The number of versions of the King of the End he killed was insane.

Even without using its full power, Excalibur can release golden energy beams capable of destroying entire regions and clashing on equal terms with the Lightning of Salvation.

**[Avalon] (Part of Excalibur)** - The mythical scabbard of King Arthur's holy sword, said to grant immortality on the battlefield. This gives Adam the ability to enter the fairy realm to isolate himself and thus protect him from any danger from the outside world if he is severely injured. Avalon's protection can take various forms, from creating a massive barrier capable of withstanding the Divine Sword of Salvation without issue to simply transporting Adam's body to the Fairy Realm, causing attacks to pass through him.

Actively, it grants constant regeneration and eternal youth to Adam. The regenerative power is immense, healing wounds and destroyed organs in seconds. Even if his heart is destroyed, Avalon can heal him. Only a blow that destroys Adam's head can kill him.

**Incantations:**

"With the blade that tears through fate itself, I invoke the power of the holy sword! Let the light of truth and destruction manifest in my name, cutting all that opposes my will."

"With the strength of the Fairy Realm and the power of immortality, I invoke the supreme protection of Avalon! Let eternal youth and endless regeneration envelop me, as the secure realm opens before me."

**[Authority of Uriel]**

**Flames of Judgment:** Uriel is considered the Fire of God. Based on these myths, this authority grants him three basic flame-related powers. These flames are not only destructive but also have the ability to purify, judge, and consume what is corrupt, punishing those who deserve divine wrath. He can shape them for three effects: purify, destroy, or erase. These flames are capable of purifying anything with divine wrath, a consuming fire that could burn an entire civilization due to its sins. Even Godslayers and [Heretic Gods] would suffer near-fatal burns at minimum when struck. Its power is such that it could theoretically burn the entire world with enough magical energy. It can also erase matter and energy, rapidly burning someone's magical energy. Anyone below a Heretic God or Campione would have their reserves burned in an instant, while Godslayers and Gods would take minutes. The terrifying effect is that it burns permanently, crippling all...

**Incantations:**

"Purify with the wrath of the Creator! Let corruption and impurity be burned to their essence!"

"Let divine destruction consume the evil in its path. There shall be no resistance to my will!"

"The very essence of the universe shall be erased by my wrath, leaving no trace!"

**[Authority of Geb]**

**Land of the End:** Taken from the Egyptian god of the Earth, Geb. Geb is considered the first divine king of Egypt, before passing to Osiris and Horus, respectively. Though a god and personification of the Earth, Geb was more associated with the deepest parts of the Earth, having strong connections to both the Underworld and earthquakes. As a result, he can be interpreted as a god associated with tectonic plates, a concept entirely foreign to ancient civilization.

As a result, Adam has power over earthquakes and magma/lava. His authority recreates these phenomena through divine magic. This allows him to create localized earthquakes, ranging from a harmless magnitude 1 to the feared and, so far, only speculated magnitude 10. He can also make lava erupt from the ground, turn the surrounding soil into molten rock, or vice versa. Adam has no issue instantly producing the hottest natural substance in the world, creating obsidian or volcanic rock in the process.

One way he used this authority was by infusing the magic of the phenomenon into his attacks, creating a white glow on his fists or weapons that shatters everything in a seismic wave of destruction, breaking the air and objects like glass and causing powerful destruction. (Similar to Whitebeard).

**Incantations:**

"The Earth trembles under my will. The foundation of the world shatters in my hand."

"The heat of the inferno shall rise through the earth, transforming everything around me into fire and destruction!"

"From the earth, I create destruction. From stone, I make hell."

**[Authority of Vulcan]**

**Return to a Bygone Era:** This Authority negates all modern devices and conveniences, casting a 'Restriction' barrier that degrades the level of civilization within the area he is in, to the point where technology more advanced than the Middle Ages becomes unusable within a few kilometers for half a day. However, the more energy he uses in activation, the larger the area it covers and the longer its duration, to the point where it is possible to cover a metropolis the size of Milan for several days. It is an Authority with the potential to threaten the world. When he uses it, a spinning circular tablet appears beneath his feet with the Latin words *'nudus ara'* (naked plow) and *'sere nudus'* (sow naked), words from the poet Hesiod, and when he cancels the Authority, he breaks the tablet.

*No Incantation*

**[Authorities of Njörðr]**

**Endless Sea:** This authority, usurped from Njörðr, the Norse god of the sea, gives him the ability to create, shape, and manipulate tides, currents, and waves with the same ease as he controls the wind. He can alter the direction, intensity, and height of tides, creating giant waves or calms with equal dexterity.

For example, he can alter tides in a specific area, allowing the sea to advance or recede to destabilize enemies or protect a territory. He can manipulate ocean currents to guide vessels or destroy enemies, creating rapid currents that drag everything in their path. Finally, he can summon giant waves, large enough to sink cities or destroy enemy fleets. These waves can be controlled in size and direction, used both as attacks and defenses.

He also has the power to summon and control marine creatures of all kinds, from the simplest to the most formidable, such as sea serpents or abyssal monsters. He can command these creatures to attack enemies or protect areas and people under his protection.

**Incantations:**

"The sea rises at my command. Its tides are mine to control."

"The sea is populated by my creatures. They arise at my command."

"I bring the sea to those who must be drowned and withdraw the land from those who must be saved."

**Consort of Goddesses:** Adam's most problematic authority. Skadi was a giantess (Jötunn), daughter of Þjazi, who was killed by the gods. To avenge her father's death, Skadi went to Asgard, the home of the gods, demanding justice. To appease her wrath, the gods offered her compensation, and Skadi requested, as part of the agreement, to choose a husband from among the gods. The choice had to be made by looking only at the gods' feet, without seeing their faces. She chose the god with the most beautiful feet, believing it would be Balder, the god of light and beauty. However, the feet belonged to Njörðr, the god of the sea and storms. This authority reenacts this legend, but on another scale. It transforms him into the ideal husband of Goddesses, and Adam slept with several of them because of it...

As time passes, the consort becomes indispensable to the goddesses, seen by them not only as an ally or lover but as their spiritual husband and true companion. Each goddess's perception of him is gradually altered, and regardless of their origins or destinies, they all come to see him as a central figure in their existence. Initially, goddesses may view him with indifference, but over time, they develop an inevitable attraction and growing respect for him. This process culminates in the recognition of the consort as their husband.

Though it has no combat power, it is still an extremely powerful authority, as it affects even Gods.

**[Authority of Jason]**

**Argo Ship:** Adam crossed the ocean in an alternate universe and came face-to-face with the Hero Jason, who had become a Heretic God. Hating his arrogance, he crushed him, gaining the authority to summon the legendary Argo Ship, used by Jason and the Argonauts in their quest for the Golden Fleece. The authority not only summons the ship but also grants it divine capabilities, directly linking it to Greek mythology and its heroic heritage. The Authority has three main aspects:

He can summon the Argo Ship at any time. The ship is monumental in size and can navigate both seas and skies, allowing the wielder to travel through any medium, be it sea, land, or air. The ship is indestructible and immune to common physical attacks, as well as protected by divine blessings, such as those from Aphrodite and Atalanta, who blessed the Argo during its construction and journey.

Within the Argo resides the essence of the Argonauts, heroes who aided Jason in his mission. This allows the wielder of the Authority to summon the help of one or more Argonauts. Depending on the need, they can provide combat support, wisdom, or special skills. Each retains their legendary abilities, with Atalanta being an excellent archer, Orpheus with his musical powers, and Heracles with his superhuman strength.

The Argo Ship is an object that carries the blessings of various Greek deities, granting the wielder extraordinary abilities. These blessings include temporary invulnerability, extraordinary speed during navigation, and divine protection against curses and sorcery. The Argo also has the ability to rapidly regenerate whenever it is damaged.

**Incantation:**

"Argo, divine ship, arise from the abysses of seas and skies! My journey begins now!"

**[Authority of Angra Mainyu]**

**All the Evil of the World:** Based on Persian mythology, where Angra Mainyu, or Ahriman, is the spirit of absolute evil, this authority is a manifestation of corruption, chaos, and destruction. It gives Adam the ability to cast an infinite number of curses capable of destroying entire civilizations. These curses can be designed to cause natural disasters, topple kingdoms, destroy relationships, or even corrupt the hearts and minds of individuals, turning them into servants of evil. The curses can vary in intensity, from those that cause pain and suffering to those that bring total destruction. It could also "imbue" curses into an object, though the object needed to be of divine or at least magical origin. If it wasn't, the object would begin to decay due to the sheer evil it was exposed to and imbued with.

**Incantation:**

"Spirit of absolute evil, I cast upon this land the weight of despair, that destroys hope and corrupts souls!"

**[Authority of Azrael]**

**Hand of Extinction:** An authority directly usurped from Azrael, the angel of death, or the divine being tasked with guiding the souls of the dead to their final destination. This authority grants the wielder the ability to manipulate death in its most absolute and destructive form. When invoking this authority, the wielder gains the power to eradicate existence, not only of life but of everything that exists, from the physical to the metaphysical, including memories and spiritual entities, with just a touch of the hand. Heretic Gods and Campiones generally require more than one touch due to their innate resistance, but each time they are touched, their life is erased, and they may lose memories, the ability to use certain authorities, and even the capacity to reason. For this hand kills everything slowly...

**Incantation:**

"Azrael, lord of death and extinction, grant me your touch, and let life cease with my hand."

**[Authorities Stolen Through the Circle of Usurpation Proper]**

**Authorities Stolen from Voban:**

**[Legion of Hungry Wolves]** - This Authority derives from the God Apollo Lyceus. Its power is extremely diverse. Its original use is to summon a divine wolf beast at his command.

Adam is capable of transforming into a giant wolf or a werewolf at will. During his transformation, he will receive several enhancements to his body. Any damage received in his wolf form will be transferred to his human body.

The divine beast created varies in powers. Generally, it tends to conjure a pack of wolves to surround his enemy, and these beasts are quite weak, as a talented knight can handle them with relative ease. However, he is also capable of summoning an extremely powerful beast with enough battle prowess to fight a demigod evenly.

Adam also possesses strong resistance to sun-based authorities. He can increase his defense by concentrating his magical energy.

He can forcibly transform another human into a divine wolf beast. The transformation is permanent, and it is unknown whether he can reverse this process or not.

**Incantation:**

"As the star shining during the day... the light of Lykos reaches even the heavens!"

**[Spellbook of Chants]** - Summons a book; all magic that exists on Earth can be written and successfully executed by this spellbook. For example, the spells this authority can use include teleportation, dimensional travel, portal opening, and reconnaissance via crystal ball. Adam finds it tedious to read the spells and even turn the pages, so to please its master, the book took the form of a 10-year-old girl who casts spells according to her master's will. This item was originally an Authority of the god Baphomet.

This authority is capable of stealing knowledge of arcane arts from another individual. Adam can choose to take just one spell or all of them from his target. The stolen spell will be inscribed in the tome...

The spellbook's avatar has a doll-like face with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a purple dress with ruffles and a black cloak. She wears a wide-brimmed black hat on her head. She shows no form of emotions or personality. The only feeling she has is absolute obedience to Adam.

**Incantation:**

"Come to me, spellbook carved with forsaken knowledge, for my desire is to embody the wonders of the occult!"

**[Otherworldly Dragon]** - An Authority derived from the Mesopotamian mother earth goddess Inanna. It grants him the ability to transform into a giant white dragon with blue eyes, possessing various exotic abilities. This Authority grants immense strength and resilience, the ability to breathe fire capable of incinerating a city, the ability to traverse dimensions, and the ability to resurrect himself if killed. Additionally, he can make parts of his body dragon-like, increasing durability and power.

**Incantation:**

"Open, gate of the underworld. Queen of the underworld, the elder sister of the mother earth, descending to the territory of the fearsome Ereshkigal, now is the time to overcome death."

**[Red Punishment]** - Summoning fire from the sky that can incinerate even gods to nothing, it transforms the entire area into a sea of flames. At minimum, the flames will spread over an area large enough to devour a major metropolis like Tokyo. After that, Adam can stop the flames if he so desires. Of course, letting them continue is fine too. These flames can burn for at least seven days and seven nights. When Adam activates this power, the clouds will disappear, a giant fireball will expand until it covers the target area and crash into the ground with terrifying speed. This authority can not only be used for combat but also for scorched-earth tactics. This Authority derives from the Fire God Zhurong.

**Incantation:**

"All living things in the world are equal: saints and sinners, villains and heroes, innocent children and even their mothers are the source of my fire."

**Authorities Stolen from Salvatore Doni:**

**[Silver-Rending Arm]** - One of his favorite Authorities is that of the Evil God Tuatha de Danann Nuadha, which grants him a silver arm that can transform any object, from a sword to a toothpick, into an invincible sword.

His silver arm can transform any object he touches into a stronger sword that can cut through anything and everything, rivaling even the legendary Excalibur. His authority is not limited to sword-like objects; even the ground or a meteorite can be transformed into the strongest blade.

It is also possible to add various special properties, such as a cursed sword that negates healing or an explosive sword that detonates on contact. He can also modify the size and length of the sword by releasing a silvery substance from his own arm, creating a gigantic sword that rivals the size of massive god avatars.

The authority itself is extremely simple, allowing Adam to manifest it in various ways during battle:

**Remote Control:** Normally, the target object loses the enhancement of his authority after being released from his hand, but if Doni focuses, he can rekindle the power remotely, using them as projectile weapons during a fight. After a decade of using this authority, Doni's ability to control his sword has grown to the point where he can simply detonate the blade and use it as a guided projectile weapon.

**Meteorite Sword:** When he desires, he can command it to strike the earth. The attack contains immense power and speed, traveling at a speed of 40 km/s, and when it hits the earth, it is capable of separating continents from one another. A hastily launched strike can blow up a third of a mountain peak.

Despite its powerful nature, there are two ways to counter its power.

The first method is to have a counter-attack authority prepared in advance and use it the instant Rael unleashes his attack.

The second method is to confront it with an authority; those with more magical energy or who break his concentration first can defend against his invincible strike.

**Incantations:**

"I swear, I forbid the existence of things I cannot cut!"

"O Sword that pierces enemies with a single strike. To plunder all life from creation, shine with brilliance!"

"Skill must bring power. No matter how divine a skill, without equivalent 'power,' the person will simply fail and be slaughtered in the end."

"O Sword, shining brightly, unleash flames!"

"A long-armed attack!"

"O silver arm, under my oath, transform into the invincible blade!"

"O arm of Nuada, grant me the sword of victory!"

**[Man of Steel]** - The Authority of the Norse Heretic God Siegfried, which gives him a body as hard and heavy as steel.

This authority transforms Adam's body into a walking steel fortress. The invulnerable body can withstand extreme physical conditions, such as the vacuum of space or the flame generated by the [White Stallion]. Adam can also increase his body's durability by increasing his weight; no matter the weight, the authority allows him to move normally. He sometimes exploits this aspect of his authority to grant himself pseudo-superhuman strength, trampling his enemy with a body weight equivalent to that of a bulldozer.

Adam will not die when activating this power; he requires no sustenance such as food, water, or even air. When he is injured, the steel body immediately seals the wound and preserves his life, even if several of his internal organs have been completely destroyed. In the most extreme case, his body will enter suspended animation to allow his natural healing ability to take effect, but he will be unable to move or defend himself during this resurrection period.

By spreading his defensive power, Adam can create a barrier composed of various runic characters to protect his allies. However, the barrier can be broken with sufficient force or with the magical resistance of a godslayer.

**Incantations:**

"Even if the body is crushed and scattered, the sword never dies! The broken blade will be melted in the furnace, forged once more to be reborn as a new sword! This level of flames cannot destroy me!"

"O blood of the evil dragon Fafnir, grant me the fate of invulnerability."

"O mark of divine protection, become a wall of black steel!"

**Authorities Stolen from John Pluto Smith:**

**[Metamorphosis]** - Authority obtained from Tezcatlipoca, an Aztec God associated with many concepts such as the Night Sky, Jaguars, Governance, Sorcery, etc. Each form can only be used once before becoming unusable for a week. Each transformation requires a specific sacrifice.

The forms are as follows:

The **[Archmage]**, which transforms him into a 15-meter-tall giant with a well-proportioned body, pitch-black skin, and horizontal black-and-yellow striped facial markings. The right foot alone appears to be made of obsidian rather than flesh. The giant body is covered in brightly colored fabric in red, orange, and black with bird feathers. He carries a wooden cylinder on his back with a pair of spears, and he could manipulate the weather in this form. To use it requires the sacrifice of a large man-made object.

The **[Jaguar]**, which can transform him into a jaguar, granting superhuman speed (covering hundreds of miles in tens of seconds). It requires the sacrifice of artificial light, such as streetlights.

The **[Flames of Annihilation]**, which is the incarnation of the sun that burns the enemy with black flames. The necessary sacrifice is rain (local rains stopped in the short term) and himself, but he will be incinerated by the flames unless he is in a resilient form beforehand.

And the **[Pitch, Demonic Black Bird]**, which transforms him into a giant bird with black feathers. The sacrifice for this form is earth (causes an earthquake of 3 to 4 on the Richter scale in the area). It can release smoke that, if inhaled, causes a paralyzing effect on magic.

**[Arrows of Artemis]** - Authority obtained from Artemis, the Greek Goddess of the Moon and Hunting. It can only be used with a large-caliber revolver forged by a dark elf metallurgist living in the Astral Realm, something he also had in his possession. When using this authority with a revolver, he is capable of shooting a target on the other side of the planet, such as in Europe from North America.

The only limitation is that it can only fire six arrows over the course of a lunar cycle. They replenish after the New Moon.

**[Lord of the Elves]** - An Authority obtained from Oberon, the European King of the Fairies. It grants him the ability to travel to and from the Netherworld with great concentration, along with control over the Astral Plane and its inhabitants beyond the Gods. He can even summon living beings from the Astral Plane for short periods, but the location must be suitable ground for Astral beings. He also inherited the duties and obligations of a king, giving him governance over a section of the Netherworld.

This ability would allow him to visit Oberon's ancient territory in the astral world as easily as taking a walk, where he could act arrogantly as "the new king of the fairies."

**Authority Stolen from Aisha:**

**[Fairy Corridor]** - This was the Authority obtained from Niamh, Queen of Tir-na-nOg, allowing Adam to open portals to the Netherworld and connect them to past eras. Tir-na-nOg (Land of the Young), though often confused with the afterlife, was an island in Irish mythology where fairies lived, a paradise on Earth where hunger, age, and death were unknown. He can also open a gate exclusively connected to the mythical realm, a parallel world where mythology is true, and parallel universes with a simple gesture.

**Time Portal:** He can open a portal and travel back to the past or to the astral world. He is unable to travel to the future by any possible means. When pushing this authority to its absolute limit, a giant gate opens at the top of the sky, releasing golden light and several smiling fairies to capture the targets.

**Corrective Force:** Adam can subtly use the corrective force of history to protect himself from harm, invalidating an attack that should not have happened in the past.

**Authorities Stolen from Alec:**

**[Black Lightning]** - This authority was usurped from the fallen angel Ramiel (the fallen angel of visions and lightning).

An ability to shorten the time needed to travel from point A to point B to be as fast as possible. Adam can move at the speed of genuine lightning when he invokes this ability. It also grants him feline athleticism, allowing him to perform superior physical feats that should not be possible for normal humans. He can slow his fall or generate a massive shockwave while running. It is even possible to leave several afterimages as decoys for his enemy. If he focuses, he can hide his presence from the world.

As a lightning-speed authority, Adam can transform part or all of his body into lightning through a technique called [Avatar Manifestation]. In this form, Adam can fly and attack his enemy with a burst of lightning. His control over this Authority is at such a high level that it is said he moves in four dimensions, due to his ability to control acceleration and deceleration, giving him basic control over the speed of travel, essentially allowing him to manipulate time by deceiving opponents by switching between acceleration and deceleration. It has an offensive mode where he unleashes an attack with as much power as the White Stallion, but after doing so, he can only use this authority again after half a day.

**Incantations:**

"Thunder, descend!"

"Thunder of the blue sky!"

"Be faithful unto death! And I will give you the crown of life!"

**[The Labyrinth]** - This authority creates a labyrinth of tunnels underground, on the surface, or even in the sky, trapping Adam and his victims inside it.

Adam has complete knowledge of the labyrinth's layout and the positions of everyone within it at all times. He can also move instantly within the labyrinth created by this Authority. It can transform existing material above ground into a labyrinth, completely altering the terrain in the area to the point that even Gods and Campiones can easily find themselves lost and trapped, only able to enter or exit the labyrinth with an attack strong enough to destroy it completely. Adam can also manifest a familiar in the form of a palm-sized black calf to keep an eye on things if he wishes to leave the Labyrinth. However, the labyrinth will begin to weaken over a period of several months, and once the labyrinth is dispelled, he must wait an entire month before he can use it again.

**Incantations:**

"Wind that sings of fascination, night that devours light, all travelers, helpless on the perilous journey, accompanied by heavy sorrow, abandon all hope!"

"Those who pass by my tombstone, who tread upon my shadow, I know each one of you!"

**[Judgment of the Furies]** - This summons the three Erinyes or Furies, sometimes known as the Kindly Ones, who were the Greek goddesses of vengeance. They protect Adam, and any destruction, curses, or damage caused in their sight is manifested upon the perpetrator.

Adam can draw a magical circle where all forms of damage caused within this area would be returned to the perpetrator in full. The manifestation of damage can vary, ranging from an invisible force punishing the body directly to the three Furies attacking the target directly with their weapons. Even a more abstract concept like time manipulation can be safely stored by the circle of vengeance and released back at the target.

When the Furies are summoned and the damage is returned, the Furies do not disappear; they remain in the physical world with 70 percent of the target's abilities and weapons.

The infernal goddesses have the ability to fly freely in the sky. Adam can use them to carry him. Despite their immense power, this authority has a weakness where Adam needs to spend a considerable amount of time creating a summoning circle necessary to draw the goddess. However, if Adam expends a large amount of energy, the required time will be greatly reduced. It is also possible to summon the goddess using Adam's blood.

**Incantation:**

"Hear me, daughters of endless night, daughters of earth and shadow. Fighting evil with evil, paying crime with crime, spilling blood for blood, tearing tooth for tooth, thus begins vengeance. By the blood of the murdered mother, the tragic death denies all future attempts at filial piety! Megaera, the demon, Tisiphone, the avenger, Alecto, the relentless, reclaim the curse and execute vengeance!"
