Chapter 12 - Useless Miwa 9. Human and Spirit Experimentation

(1st PoV)

"Do woosh, then bam!"

Shoko explained me how to heal this guy. And it doesn't matter if he does.

Well, if someone asks me how to use Reverse Cursed Energy, even I wouldn't be able to give an answer. After I almost died due to flooding my brain with Cursed Energy, it automatically became Reverse Cursed Energy by some cursed energy multiplying with the rest.

After that, I was able to multiply some of the cursed energy with the cursed energy of my katana, turning all its cursed energy into reverse cursed energy, allowing me to use the reversal of my cursed technique.

I haven't succeeded in healing myself through Reverse Cursed Energy though.

Wait... Since I am now more like Choso, with Mahito's Idle Transfiguration and my Reincarnation...

"Shoko-san, can you heal broken fingers?"

"Yes."

I held one of my finger, and with cursed energy reinforcement, broke it.

*CRACK!*

My finger's bone broke, and it really hurt!

Gritting my teeth, I clashed my cursed energy from either side of the broken fingers, hoping to create reverse cursed energy at that point.

Well... It didn't work.

I sighed, and imagined my soul, which also had a broken fingure, change shape and connect my finger back in place.

It actually worked. Just costed me some cursed energy.

Well then...

Next, I imagined gaining two extra arms and changed the shape of my soul accordingly.

My soul did change, but body didn't.

'Reincarnation.'

As I used my actual cursed technique, two extra arms grew out from my body, exactly according to my soul.

Oh. So I have to use Reincarnation to change my human flesh huh?

I moved my four arms, and they moved surprisingly well.

Then, I performed Reincarnation in combination with changing the shape of my soul to make extra pair of small eyes on the back of my neck, and an extra mouth on my stomach, and making sure that they all are retractable.

It freaking worked!

I could now see 360° with my four eyes, and have two extra retractable hands and an extra mouth.

It was weird, but since my brain was modified accordingly, I didn't really feel anything out of place, despite now being able to see 360°. And the cursed energy cost wasn't much for doing these changes on my body. And it will recover, since I actually didn't loose anything.

From my new pair of eyes, I saw Shoko freak out from behind me.

So, I closed the extra eyes and retracted back my arms.

"Ehhe, sorry for creeping you out."

"No worries."

Anyway, now that I know that I can actually heal myself with my cursed technique, that doesn't mean that I don't want to master healing myself and others with reverse cursed energy.

I put the cut-off hand with the rest of the man's body, and tried to create reverse cursed energy in my hands.

It didn't work.

So, I transferred some cursed energy, but it fizzled out before I could hit some of my cursed energy at the external object.

"Umm, Shoko-san, now I am going to try my cursed technique. He might turn into a monster."

"Go ahead."

I took a deep breath, and tried to use idle Transfiguration without Reincarnation.

'Idle Reincarnation.'

I changed the man's soul into having an arm-

That didn't happen. He changed into a transfigured human just when I touched his soul.

Figures. Mahito experimented a lot to be able to heal Mechamaru.

Hmm...

I put my hands on the transfigured human.

'Idle Transformation Reincarnation.'

I reincarnated the man into a normal body. And with the combination of my two techniques, it worked.

He now even had his hand back.

Phew!

And then, Shoko came, and killed the guy. Blood splattered everywhere.

Even on me.

"What are you doing!?"

I shouted in disgust, and washed my face. My uniform... it's ruined...

"This guy was a curse user on a death row. Your technique woke him up from the induced coma."

"Oh..."

"And the school will provide another replacement for your uniform."

"OH..."

Then I moved on to the next person.

This time, I used both Idle Transfiguration and Reincarnation at the same time. The rejection did happen for some milliseconds before Reincarnation took effect, and the person was healed.

It took out about 1/100th of my cursed energy just 'healing' the two. But they didn't seem much strong. If I tried to reincarnate someone like Gojo, I might use all my cursed energy in one go and still fail.

"This is not very efficient."

Shoko remarked, and I nodded. These are low level guys. Probably the lowest of grade 4, who are not much different from normal humans. For people normal sorcerers, it will be a waste of cursed energy.

And, first turning them into transfigured human and then reincarnating them just for healing cuts and such will indeed be very inefficient.

That can be solved if I get good enough in Idle Transfiguration though. Mahito didn't have Reincarnation when he healed Mechamaru.

"Hey, do you have some cursed spirits?"

"Hmm, let me fetch it."

After a while, Shoko returned with some grade 4 cursed spirits, trapped in a cage.

I touched one, and used Idle Transfiguration to give the ugly cursed spirit a cute cat appearance.

I tried to change its soul with only Idle Transfiguration, but it just exploded and got exorcised.

I guess it couldn't bear the strain?

After experimenting a lot, I learnt several things.

1. If the target of Idle Transfiguration has a weak soul, they 'die'. Meaning, humans become transfigured and cursed spirits are exorcised.

2. A transfigured human can be reincarnated to restore their body, and 'heal'. Though, the cursed energy is reduced for the reincarnator.

3. I can un-incarnate cursed spirits using the reversal of Reincarnation, turning them into cursed objects without any soul, but they retain their cursed energy and technique.

4. I can un-incarnate humans, meaning their bodies remain but soul die. And their bodies start degrading, though it can be stopped by reincarnating either a cursed spirit or transfigured human into the body.

But, due to incompatibility, the new reincarnation dies within seconds.

5. I can merge transfigured humans and in-carnated curses, but their soul still remain different, as if there is a barrier separating them. And, if the compatibility is not good, they die.

6. Merged entities can't be reincarnated because they fight for dominance and if their strength is almost equal, they kill each other. I guess the difference should be at the level between Sukuna and Megumi that the stronger reincarnation can take control.

7. If I reincarnated a human into an un-incarnated cursed spirit, the human becomes a cursed object with his soul in it.

Then, if I put the new cursed object in the human's body, and reincarnated it into the body, the human will gain the cursed technique of the cursed spirit.

But, without compatibility, the new being would die.

I guess I really lucked out that Mahito wasn't born for even an hour, and we were so compatible. I now firmly believes that I might have given birth to Mahito by reincarnating my fear of Mahito into the cursed energy around us, given the environment was favourable for Mahito.

I checked my soul again, to make sure there is no problem. And, I guess that binding vow to gain resistance against soul attacks by sacrificing my previous life's soul really saved me, or I might have ended up dead after swallowing the un-incarnated Mahito.

Note to self. No more swallowing curses to try to gain more cursed techniques. I am not Yuji.

Anyway, 8. I can first un-incarnate a cursed spirit, and then reincarnate it to take a different appearance and becoming a different cursed spirit altogether, while maintaining the cursed technique. It is very useful. Imagine using it on cursed spirits like Jogo and Hanami and bringing them to my side?

9. I can choose some conditions for reincarnation even for humans. First Un-incarnation and then re-incarnation. I can't change much their shape of soul though, which would make them incompatible with their bodies the more I make changes.

Like, stripping of cursed energy. Yet, it doesn't provide any boost in other things like physical ability. Maki was a special case, because the moment she 'died', and I reincarnated her without cursed energy, her heavenly restriction was completed.

Maki actually didn't have any cursed energy, but due to twin shinnegans, most of Mai's cursed energy was going into her body, yet it was rejecting it due to Heavenly Restriction.

After some experiments on someone whose body is as bad as Mechamaru, and learning to using only Idle Transfiguration without killing a human, like Mahito experimented on Jumpei, giving cursed energy to someone who wasn't supposed to, I think I will be able to heal Mechamaru without affecting his heavenly restriction.

Reincarnation would take away the advantage of his range and probably good amount of cursed energy.

"Shoko-san, can you arrange a death row criminal without any cursed energy? Wait, only ask Gojo-sensei for it. Please don't reveal my technique to anyone other than him. It's quite dangerous, and I might get targeted."

"Hmm, alright. By the way, you don't feel anything about these experiments?"

"It's disgusting. But these are curses, and cursed users who have muat have committed really bad things, like killing people."

"The ninth person you experimented on was deemed a curse user because he used cursed energy to cheat in sports and tried to become the ace of the Japanese Volleyball team."

...

I looked at the person I experimented on, and, he was dead. I had tried to merge his in-carnation with cursed spirit's incarnation, and failed.

I couldn't reincarnated him.

Watching the despair on my face, Shoko offered me a cigarette.

"I am not a doctor. I am a jujutsu sorcerer. And you are now one too. I suggest you lower your moral standards."

I looked at the cigarette in my hand, and crushed it beneath my feet.

She could have told me these things beforehand!

You want me to lower my moral standards? Fine!

"Then form a bounding vow that you will tell only Gojo-sensei about things regarding me. No one else. And have him arrange an actual criminal on a death-row without leaking anything to others."

"Alright. I agree to the binding vow."

Our cursed energies interacted, and the vow was formed.

I stopped my way out, feeling that I have done some really messed up things today.

I thought they must have committed serious crimes, that's why they are being used as experimental subjects!

Isn't Tokyo under Gojo and Yaga's control? Is Shoko connected to the higher-ups, or she just doesn't care?

...She probably just doesn't care...
