Chapter 202 - 202. Yahiko Has No Hope For Peace

Sora stated his purpose for founding the organization.

Pakura frowned and asked, "You mean, you want us to live lives without regrets? Create a Hidden Village?"

Sora chuckled and said: "Why did you suddenly think of establishing a Hidden Village? There are only four of us now, and including my wife, there are only five people in total.

That seems far too few to establish a Hidden Village.

Though there will be more people in the future."

He paused briefly.

"Let's discuss that later. For now, let's focus on the organization. So, are you two willing to stay in the Owl Organization? This isn't mandatory, but joining the Owl Organization is, in my opinion, a very good choice for you both.

Shenshiro and I won't force you to do anything. We'll communicate and make most decisions within the organization together.

Of course, when the organization is threatened, all members must stand up and fight for it. Otherwise, there would be no point in establishing this organization."

Pakura and Raiga exchanged glances.

Originally, they had joined the Owl Organization because of Yahiko, but they never expected that the leader would be Sora.

Their biggest concern had been that the Owl Organization might be a front for Konoha. Since that wasn't the case, their reservations disappeared.

And the idea of loving themselves, living as they wanted, and having no regrets...

In the past, they had accepted the principle that the village came first and the individual second.

But now, having each experienced betrayal by their own villages, Pakura and Raiga felt a longing in their hearts for what Sora was offering.

They spoke in unison: "We choose to stay!"

Sora wasn't surprised by their decision.

He smiled and said: "Our organization is still in its initial stages, so you two should work hard and help Shenshiro as much as possible. I'm currently in Konoha and have no way to manage things directly. I'll need to remain in the village for a few more years before I can leave.

If you encounter a problem you can't solve, don't act recklessly. Contact me, and I'll come as quickly as possible to help resolve it."

Yahiko asked: "Chief, what are we going to do next?"

Sora replied: "First, recruit people and let our organization grow gradually. Just the few of us aren't enough, but don't recruit shinobi carelessly. It's better to have fewer members than too many. The members of our organization must at least have the strength of an elite jōnin.

Don't worry about finances. I'll handle that. If you're short on funds, come to me. I'll solve the organization's funding problems in the early stages. However, when the organization reaches a certain size, or after I leave Konoha, we'll need to become self-sufficient."

In Sora's vision, Danzo would definitely establish the new department he had proposed.

And Danzo would undoubtedly assign Sora to it.

Then Sora could funnel money through this new department to support the Owl Organization.

Sora continued explaining the next phase of the Owl Organization's plan to the three: "There won't be major changes in the structure of the shinobi world in the near future. At most, there will be local conflicts. You should keep an eye on a mercenary organization called 'Akatsuki.'"

Yahiko's body tensed when he heard the name Akatsuki.

Sora noticed this reaction but ignored it, continuing: "In the future, we may cooperate with Akatsuki, but our relationship with them will be limited to cooperation only, as we may eventually find ourselves in opposition to them.

Akatsuki's goal is to collect all nine bijuu and create weapons from them..."

Raiga said in surprise: "This Akatsuki has such grand ambitions? They actually want to collect all nine bijuu? Do they think the Five Great Shinobi Villages don't exist?"

Sora explained: "That's precisely the issue.

Akatsuki does have the capability to collect the bijuu, but right now they're in a similar position to our Owl Organization.

They're still developing. Their leader possesses the Rinnegan, which is incredibly powerful.

Each member of their organization is also an elite jōnin from various Hidden Villages.

When Akatsuki begins collecting bijuu, they'll essentially become enemies of the Five Great Shinobi Villages. As they progress in their collection, the shinobi world will descend into chaos."

Pakura asked: "Then shouldn't we try to stop them?"

Sora countered, "Why should we stop them?"

Pakura thought for a moment and said: "Well... if the shinobi world becomes chaotic, that won't be good for us, right?"

Sora shook his head: "In my view, chaos in the shinobi world is inevitable. I think you can see clearly that this war ended only because the resources and shinobi of each village were nearly exhausted.

As soon as each village recovers and replenishes its resources and manpower, the next war won't be far off.

Moreover, we can't stop Akatsuki. As for why, you don't need to know that now. Just let events take their natural course."

Yahiko, Pakura, and Raiga nodded and said: "We understand."

Sora looked at Yahiko: "Shenshiro, let's talk privately."

Sora and Yahiko walked away from the others.

Sora asked: "Now that you've traveled throughout the shinobi world, what are your thoughts? Do you still believe your previous theory of peace can succeed?"

Yahiko fell silent and lowered his head.

The past few years of traveling through the shinobi world had left him despondent.

Killings, betrayals... all kinds of events that shattered his worldview had occurred endlessly.

When he first began his journey, Yahiko had been full of hope.

But everything he encountered gradually extinguished that hope.

Yahiko once saved an injured Iwagakure shinobi. When the shinobi's teammates arrived, they attacked Yahiko without hesitation.

Obviously, if the shinobi he had rescued had spoken up for him, perhaps his teammates wouldn't have attacked.

But that didn't happen.

What was even more outrageous was that the shinobi Yahiko had saved claimed Yahiko was a stranger and that they should just kill him.

There were also shinobi from various villages who wantonly killed civilians, with no authority to restrain them.

Yahiko had saved some of those civilians, but from their hateful eyes, he could see no possibility for peace.

Yahiko now realized how naive his original ideas had been.

It was impossible to achieve a peace where people truly understood each other.

Everyone was an independent individual. Unless thoughts could be synchronized, people would never truly understand one another.

But synchronization of thoughts was absolutely impossible except through something like the Shadow Clone jutsu.

Seeing Yahiko's expression, Sora lowered his eyes and said: "It seems you already have your answer.

Now that your innocence has been shattered, it's time to grow up.

Although Nagato's approach is extreme, it's not entirely without merit.

In fact, Nagato's method for achieving peace might be the most likely to succeed, but it's unfortunate that Nagato is merely a pawn and will never achieve his goal."
