Darren's POV
Janet sat in a corner of the room, her face buried in a spell book. She didn't bother to raise her head when I entered the room, just nodding when I looked at her. Aleesha stood by the door, her shy figure staying silent. I chuckled at how childish she seemed, despite being older than Victoria.
I sat on the edge of the bed, but Victoria didn't move. She still held on to me, her face buried in my neck as she filled her nose with my scent.
"You've missed me that much, huh?"
She brought her head forward, staring me in the face with a smile that had a hint of annoyance.
"More than you can imagine."
A smile started to form on my face before Victoria attacked my lips without mercy. I was surprised, but I didn't stop her. I noticed Janet look at us, shake her head a bit and return to her book. Aleesha, on the other hand, had a very extreme reaction.
