The week passed faster than Luna would have liked. Between constant care and quiet naps by Davi's side, she watched him recover little by little, until his eyes gleamed with that same stubborn fire once again.
More than a week later, Davi was already back on his feet, training with a wolf-girl from the village who was a sword master. Haru had also helped with his training earlier, but she had to leave.
The girl watched Davi swing his sword with a satisfied smile, her gray ears twitching as she gave him instructions.
"You are doing well, just don't push yourself too much. You're gonna reopen wounds you don't even have anymore," she teased, easily sidestepping a swing.
"I'm fine," Davi replied, spinning the practice sword through his fingers.
That's when the sky shimmered.
With a crisp snapping sound, a golden rift tore open in the air just a few meters away, and Inanna stepped out of it as if descending from a sunbeam.
