"That's..."
Ryan saw a page of golden paper. It seemed to be the most perfect thing in heaven and earth, floating in the air, protected by layer upon layer of halos.
"What kind of strange object is a piece of paper?" Ryan muttered.
But strange objects weren't any particular kind of thing. They came in all forms, and on reflection it wasn't surprising.
There was no denying that this strange object must be very precious, because this time there was more than one Peak Stage Rank 7 here, even Rank 7s at the very top of Peak Stage, two such top Peak Stage Rank 7s in fact.
Ryan had seen both of these Peak Stage Rank 7s before.
They were Crimson Drake and Varek Shade!
These two Peak Stage Rank 7s were almost equal in strength, and if they fought, neither would gain anything but injuries and exhaustion.
And the force Varek Shade belonged to was the current backer of Mareveil: the Umbral Order!
Varek Shade was an elder of the Umbral Order.
