From the corner of his eye, Kaito saw movement—a Silver Rank wild boar charging at them. The creature had been lurking nearby, noticing the disturbance caused by the fight. Its body was thick with muscle, and its tusks gleamed with a dangerous sharpness.
"Ready?" Kaito asked.
The fox responded with a series of quick barks, its tail flicking energetically. Kaito took that as a yes.
The wild boar rushed forward, its hooves pounding against the earth, but just as it neared, the fox used its Space Wrap. The fox's body flickered, disappearing into thin air for a split second, before reappearing behind the boar in a burst of speed.
The wild boar snorted, confused by the sudden disappearance. It turned around, but before it could react, the Cosmic Strike of the fox flared up. The fox darted in once more, using its Space wrap to disorient the boar. The fox then countered with a precise slash, drawing a trail of light across the boar's side.
It was quick. Too quick for the boar to fully react.
The fox was fighting smarter, using the abilities that Kaito didn't even fully understand yet.
The boar squealed in pain, retreating to lick its wounds, but Kaito knew this battle wasn't over. The fox was growing stronger by the second, its bond with Kaito deepening, its abilities sharpening.
"Keep it up, we've got this!" Kaito called out. The fox darted forward again, with its starlight cloak activating, It turned invisble to the boar, disoriented and unable to tell what happened, the boar flailed wildly.
Kaito used the opportunity to direct the fox's next move. "Now, finish it!"
The Starlight Fox burst through the light illusions, its body a blur, and with a sharp yelp, it slashed at the boar's throat. The boar collapsed to the ground with a pained grunt,as the life from its eyes faded away.
Kaito stepped forward, sweat on his brow. He had to admit, he was impressed. Despite being a Bronze-level monster, the fox had performed with the kind of precision and intelligence that most other monsters didn't possess at this stage.

Kaito could feel the surge of power emanating from the fox. The fight had boosted its experience by quite a bit. "hmm, what's that," Kaito notice a diamond shaped green crystal lying on the ground, where the boar was killed, he went to pick it up and remembered the system notification of crystal core.
"we're in luck D rank crystal core is a lot of money," as kaito murmered with a smile.
"I think we've made progress," Kaito said with a satisfied grin. The fox barked in agreement, its eyes glimmering with pride.
Kaito knew that this bond wasn't just about strength—it was about trust, cooperation, and mutual growth. Every victory, every challenge they faced together, would strengthen that connection.
As Kaito was about to head back, his communication device buzzed. He glanced at it, seeing a message from Professor Kenta Moriyama.
"Kaito, report to the Academy immediately. The Headmaster wishes to speak with you."
The urgency in the message caught Kaito off guard. What could the Headmaster want with him now? He glanced at the fox, who seemed just as puzzled. After a moment of hesitation, Kaito made up his mind.
"Looks like we're headed back to the Academy, partner," he said, giving the fox a reassuring pat.
Kaito arrived at the Beast Taming Academy shortly before noon. He made his way through the familiar halls, heading toward the Headmaster's office. The Academy was a vast institution, filled with potential tamers, each one hoping to unlock their own unique powers. Some, like Kaito, were just beginning their journey, while others were seasoned professionals, well on their way to greatness.
When Kaito arrived at the office, he was greeted by the Headmaster's assistant, a stern-faced woman with short black hair.
"Kaito Yamada? The Headmaster is expecting you." She led him into the office.
Inside, Headmaster Haruto Ishikawa was sitting behind his desk, a serious expression on his face as he looked up from a pile of documents.
"Kaito," the Headmaster greeted him, his tone neither warm nor cold. "I've been following your progress. You're… showing potential."
Kaito bowed respectfully. "Thank you, Headmaster."
Kaito didn't know where this conversation was going, but he stayed quiet, listening carefully.
"The Rift Lords have been growing restless, Kaito," Haruto continued, his voice low. "Your potential doesn't just attract the Academy's attention—it attracts everyone's. You must be careful. Not everyone is pleased with the rapid rise of new tamers like you. There are factions out there that would try to exploit you."
Kaito's heart skipped a beat. The Rift Lords—an organization that controlled some of the most powerful beasts in the world. It was a name he'd only heard whispered among the more experienced tamers.
"What should I do?" Kaito asked cautiously.
Haruto studied him for a moment before speaking. "Grow stronger, Kaito. And stay vigilant. The rifts are only the beginning. There are greater powers at play. We will be watching you."
With that, Kaito left the office, feeling a weight settle on his shoulders. The path ahead was clearer now—his talents, his bond with the fox, and the knowledge he had gained from his journey would guide him. But danger lurked at every corner, and he would need to be ready for whatever challenges awaited.

That evening, Kaito sat on his bed, staring at the Starlight Fox. His mind was still reeling from the conversation with the Headmaster. The mention of the Rift Lords and the growing unrest in the world beyond the rifts had made him uneasy.
"Don't worry, little one," Kaito murmured to the fox, who was curled up on the bed beside him. "We'll face whatever comes next. Together."
As he lay back, staring at the ceiling, he couldn't help but wonder: *What else was out there? What was he about to uncover about the world of Beast Tamers and the dark forces that lurked beyond the rifts?*
Kaito's mind swirled with thoughts of the Rift Lords, an organization he had only ever heard in hushed tones. Their name alone was enough to send a chill down his spine. To think that his awakening had drawn the attention of such powerful and dangerous figures made him feel like a pawn on a vast, unpredictable chessboard.
But then, he glanced at the Starlight Fox, its glowing blue eyes meeting his with an almost reassuring intensity. Whatever challenges lay ahead, he wouldn't face them alone. The fox was more than just a companion—it was a partner. And together, they were bound to grow stronger with every battle, every lesson, every obstacle they overcame.
Kaito turned over to check the system panel one more time, his finger grazing the interface with a sense of wonder.

Kaito ran his finger along the stats, feeling a sense of pride and anticipation. So, he gained 10 stat point in everything levelling up to 10 that means, "i gained 1 stat point equally when levelling up" kaito thought, except mp and hp which were doubled by 10x. He had a long way to go, but the potential was already beginning to show. And the skill points were already stacking up—100 skill points from the boar fight alone. He needed to make some decisions about how to allocate them wisely, not only for the fox's growth but for his own too.
He was getting a glimpse into a world that most people could never imagine. Each tamer had a unique path, and Kaito's path was going to be different from anyone else's. With his system, his bond with the Starlight Fox, and the strange circumstances surrounding the Rift Lords and the rifts, there were no limits to what he could achieve.
He would need to grow quickly—and he'd need to be strategic. No matter how strong the Starlight Fox became, Kaito would need to develop his own skills to keep up with the threats looming on the horizon. He had learned in his brief time as a Beast Tamer that strength alone wasn't enough. The more he understood about his system and the monsters he could tame, the more he could shape his destiny.
Kaito sighed, feeling the weight of the moment settle over him. The tension in the air was palpable, and the world outside the academy was waiting for him. But for now, with the fox curled up next to him, there was peace. The calm before the storm.
The following morning, Kaito received another message—this time from Taro.
Taro Kurozaki:
"Hey Kaito, I heard about the fox. Sounds like you're off to a good start. Meet me at the training grounds. There's a lot I want to show you, and I'm curious to see your new partner in action. Don't keep me waiting!"
Kaito chuckled to himself, the message a welcome change from the grim warnings of the Headmaster. It was good to have a friend like Taro—someone who understood the challenges of becoming a Beast Tamer but could also bring some levity to the situation.
With the Starlight Fox perched on his shoulder, Kaito headed out once more, his excitement growing as he thought about his next training session with Taro. It had been a while since they'd trained together, and now, with a real partner of his own, Kaito was eager to see what kind of progress he could make. The road ahead was uncertain, but one thing was clear—he was no longer the invisible, forgotten student in the background. His potential was now undeniable.
And with the fox by his side, anything felt possible.
