( Still around 1 pm, at the Safe House:;)
( Inside , in the luxurious living room::);;
....Vor's lips curled into a reassuring smile as he nodded, his eyes locking onto Nat's with a spark of conviction. "You're right, it's all if...but Nat, isn't it worth a try?..",
His voice was infused with a sense of possibility, drawing Nat in. "Imagine having the freedom to do whatever you want... Whenever you want...wherever you want. No driver's watchful eye, just the open road and the thrill of the ride. And the cherry on top? That sports car you've always dreamed of could be yours, a gift of freedom and independence."
Nat's expression softened as he considered Vor's words. He thought about his driver, always relaying his every move, a human GPS for his parents to monitor his whereabouts and activities. The lack of freedom was suffocating, with every meeting and conversation being watched and reported back. The idea of breaking free from that constant scrutiny, of driving himself wherever he pleased, was incredibly alluring.
Nat sighed, hesitant no more. "Fine," he said finally. "I'll play along. But if this ends in disaster, I'm blaming you, Vor."
As Vor whooped in triumph, pumping his fist in the air, the burst of energy was infectious, and the room filled with the sound of scraping chairs and murmurs of excitement, the scent of supple leather and subtle fragrance mingling in the air. "That's the spirit, Nat! Let's make this happen!"
Nat looked around the room, seeing the excited faces of the other members. But one face stood out - Siri's, whose expression remained completely neutral, her eyes flicking to her watch in a habitual gesture that seemed almost reflexive. Nat raised an eyebrow and turned to Siri. "You in, Siri?"
Siri's face still didn't change, but she didn't respond either.
Chan, noticing Siri's hesitation, jumped in with a reassuring smile. "Come on, Siri! It'll be fun, I promise! We'll make sure everyone's safe, and we'll all own our dream car. You can't miss out on this!" His calm, convincing tone put the others at ease, and Siri's gaze lingered on him, searching for a glimmer of uncertainty – but there was none.
Siri glanced at her watch once more, then locked eyes with Chan, her nod firm and resolute. "Okay, I'm in."
"Alright, everyone's in – so what's the game plan, Vor? Any rules or guidelines we need to follow?" Nun asked, turning to Vor. The others nodded in agreement, their anticipation growing.
Vor's face broke out into a mischievous grin, "Here's the deal... Whoever doesn't get their car before we leave for college has to do whatever the others say...No questions asked.
The air was immediately thick with unease. They were used to Vor's games being a delicate balance of risk and reward, a tightrope walk between thrill and disaster. But this seemed different, almost... tame. Vor's face broke out into a mischievous grin.
The group's confusion was palpable, their faces a mix of furrowed brows and suspicious glances. What seemed like a harmless challenge now felt like a trap waiting to spring.
The silence that followed was heavy with anticipation, the group's collective mind racing with questions. Was this game really as simple as it seemed, or was there a hidden danger lurking beneath the surface? The grin on his face only added to the unease.
Vor's grin widened as he turned to face Nat, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "See, not risking, just a fun and harmless little game," he said, his voice filled with excitement, the words dripping with a sincerity that didn't quite match the glint in his eye.
"Are you kidding me?" Dee asked, her tone laced with disappointment. "Of course not," Vor replied calmly.
"Cut the jokes, what's the real deal?" Nat asked, his tone firm and serious
"Oh, I get it,.." Vor said, his smirk growing, "..a safe plan's not your style. Admit it, you're used to the thrill, you miss the risk," he said, raising an eyebrow with a hint of amusement.
Nun's eyes narrowed slightly, her expression unreadable, but her voice remained steady. "Done with the theatrics? What's the real plan?"
Vor's expression remained calm, but his tone took on a slightly annoyed edge. "What's wrong? Didn't you want a safe game? I've already laid out the deal. Why the repeat questions?"
"You're missing the point, Vor," Nat said, his eyes locked on Vor's, piercing with skepticism. "We're not questioning the deal; we're questioning what's driving it. What's your real stake in this 'safe little game'? What are you hoping to gain?"
Vor's expression remained calm, but a flicker of something unreadable danced in his eyes. For a moment, the air was thick with tension, leaving Nat wondering what secrets lay hidden beneath Vor's smooth exterior....
