Chapter 28 - Chapter 27- Teen Spirit- Part 3

[The Daniels Estate, Havok, Piasu, Ryomania, 11:45 AM, May 7th, Tuesday 2025]

A large crater now occupied the space that the backyard once filled, the underground tunnels exposed.

The ground had been lifted up by a much angrier Cathy, who was now bleeding, having received scratches over her body from the boosted Teen Spirit.

A giant platform of dirt floated above her head as Cathy flew over the mansion, no longer caring about spectators.

She looked around frantically, the fly zooming around her at breakneck speeds, causing the air to whip around her.

Cathy Ariston: "I'll get you, you little bastard! Come here!"

Cathy waved her hand, a large chunk of the dirt above her opened up, to try and swallow both her and the fly.

The entire dirt platform floated lower, now enclosing the two of them inside.

"Kehaha! What a funny girl, I guess they don't know about how strong relics are... I'll have to finish this quickly."

The fly thought to itself as it flew around the newly-formed enclosure even faster than before, knocking Cathy back due to its speed.

She snarled and pushed off of the wall with her legs, holding her hands out like a spear.

Cathy Ariston: "Gravity: Spearhead!"

Her eyes began glowing in a faint purple hue, the fly turned at the wrong spot and her hands closed around it, her aura crushing it.

She then concentrated, and dirt clumps began flying rapidly around her right hand, trapping the fly inside.

It smashed violently against the gravity aura, trying to break through it, but a new force started opposing it.

"No... She's using Flow?! How is that possible— NO! WAIT! It got into her bloodstream... Damn it!"

Cathy Ariston: "Don't move around so much, it's tingly and bloody gross."

She twirled once more in the air, gathering even larger dirt chunks around her hand, forming a giant ball of dirt onto it.

Cathy Ariston: "You know, I'm starting to like these named attacks, they really do grow on you."

She smirked as she began slamming her hand on the dirty ground.

Cathy Ariston: "YOU'RE. SUPER. FUCKING. ANNOYING! GRAAAH!"

She spun around even faster, the fly being thrown around inside of her right hand like a ping-pong ball.

Then she slammed her fist into the ground again, the dirt gave way and cracked under the immense pressure and gravity inside of her hand, causing yet another hole in the large dirt structure, taking both of them outside.

"Haaaa! I really thought that was it..."

The fly shook itself and spun around Cathy, slamming into her upper back and driving both of them upwards through the platform.

Cathy yelled in pain as the fly broke through her aura, a strange purple mist began coming out of her eyes, she held her hands out again, crushing the air around her with gravity.

The attack was too slow however, the fly flew out of the way, circling the outside of the dirt platform.

Cathy Ariston: "My... My spine... YOU'RE SO DEAD!"

[Second Floor Of The Mansion]

Erika Daniels: "Ah, ah, they're really going at it, aren't they?"

Erika leaned against the right-side hallway's window, looking at the chaos above the mansion.

Erika Daniels: "Hm..."

She smirked, turning to see Carrion standing behind her.

Erika Daniels: "You're... Carrion Murata, Third Ranked member of Iris."

Carrion Murata: "I reckoned you knew me, you're pretty close to him, aren't you?"

Erika sighed and crossed her arms.

Erika Daniels: "The audacity of some people, you barge into my house, destroying my property and then make assumptions, accusations about me. You've been lacking in the intel department, that's why you're asking. You don't know."

Carrion reached behind him, a determined look on his face as he tilted his head upwards, staring down at her.

Carrion Murata: "That's why I'm here, gathering intel, and other things... How long has this family been hiding relics for?"

Erika barked out a laugh, pulling out her baseball bat from her backpack and slinging it over her shoulder, just as a dirt clump splat against the window behind her from above.

Erika Daniels: "Seriously? You want a history lesson? Tch, around... Let's say five hundred years. What's it to you? You're not taking anything from here."

Carrion pulled out a katana from the sheath on his back, flipping it in his right hand.

Carrion Murata: "In case you haven't noticed, my associate has already taken the cross you're hiding, The Lover."

Erika's eyes widened for a split second, before masking her surprise with a head-shake.

Erika Daniels: "Ah... Should've known. Fine, so you want to kill me then?"

Carrion Murata: "It's a requirement. And you won't let me take Primordia otherwise, I know it's still underneath the house."

Carrion raised the katana, pointing it at her. Erika did the same with her bat.

Erika Daniels: "You really won't like this..."

[Above The Daniels Estate]

Cathy continued following the fly, swiping at it with gravity and trying to pull it towards her.

Cathy Ariston: "ALL YOU EVER DO IS RUN? IS THAT IT?!"

The fly, then turned, flying above her head and then landing on it. It grabbed her head with unnatural grip force, spinning her around in the air before throwing her towards the ground.

The dirt platform began to fall as Cathy's hold loosened on it.

Suddenly—

A large wooden spike came out of the left side of the house, carrying a grinning Erika on it.

The large spike impaled the dirt platform, causing it to collapse to the left of the house into a giant pile.

Erika Daniels: "Need help cat-girl?"

Cathy Ariston: "FUCK YOU!"

Cathy hit the ground hard, she spat blood as her aura flickered, the heavy-flow imbued attacks of the fly making it weaker.

She quickly clapped her hands together, the ground enclosing around her like a shield.

Cathy Ariston: "Okay... Okay... Think, Cathy, think! How did Jack heal... he closed his eyes, and..."

Erika jumped off the giant wooden spike as three bullets shot towards her from the house, Carrion stepped out, with his gun in hand, sighing.

Carrion Murata: "Ah, what a hassle... I'd urge you to keep fighting, Krist, but I don't want any more accidents, like awakening that girl. So get out of here!"

Carrion shot towards the sky, his right eye glowing pure white, the bullet seemed to almost curve around the air, stopping right in front of the fly mid-air.

"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! HE'LL KILL ME, HE'LL— O-Oh... It stopped... Right. C-Carrion?! Can you hear me? Okay, so I-I got it, I'll head back now... I'm pretty hurt too... That girl cost me a leg but you're right, keeping The Lover is more important!"

The fly seemed to almost bow politely and dash away.

Erika Daniels: "Really? Retreating already?!"

She batted the air, splinters flying out of The Solar Branch towards Carrion, he raised up his katana, deflecting them effortlessly.

Carrion Murata: "That's one of a kind, we can't afford losses like you idiots can. Now there's two ways we can do this, you can either give up the Primordia and I'll walk away from here. Or you can lay down your life, forcefully."

Erika Daniels: "Oh screw you!"

She hit the wooden spike, it rippled backwards, new roots growing from it and slashing towards Carrion, he ran backwards into the house, smirking.

Carrion Murata: "What if I take a hostage? You wouldn't mind that, would you? Huh? Erika Daniels?!"

Erika's eyes widened, her face scowling immediately.

Erika Daniels: "Oh no you don't! Fourth Step: Shemat!"

Erika's body seemed to go translucent, a glowing red aura flaring up around her, she dashed forwards with extreme speed into the house.

Cathy Ariston: "What the bloody hell was that? Is that an earthquake...?"

Cathy opened up the dirt sphere around her and peeked out, seeing the large wooden spike and the sounds of battle in the house.

Cathy Ariston: "Somehow, this feels worse than being defeated... Damn it..."
