"Potion? Peculiar… And this scent… Such a wonderful scent. It feels… familiar."
"..."
"Ahaha! Let's go downstairs, Xenophilius." Dudley was quick to take charge and rushed to the man. He threw an arm around Xenophilius' shoulder and pulled him along. "I'll see you later, Luna."
He gave Luna a wink and left her room to discuss the global expansion of the Quibbler with Xenophilius.

Hawaii,
"What are you reading?"
Dudley eyed the two girls in absurdly small swimsuits. But it was a private beach, and there was no shame between them. Susan and Hannah were on a vacation with him, and they were enjoying the vacation as much as he did shagging them all night. And seriously, they looked stunning in Muggle bikinis with Ray-Bans on their faces and sand kissing their tanned bodies. While Hannah's ass spilled fantastically, Susan's tits seemed to not know when to stop growing.
"Nothing, just the Daily Prophet," Dudley replied, smiling. "This unknown wizard army seems to be going great. They recently stopped a dark wizard from sacrificing an entire village in rural France. They call themselves Vanguards."
The two girls unashamedly joined him on the beach chair, falling onto him on each of his size, their heads on his shoulder as they also looked at the newspaper.
"Vanguard? What are they? Some vigilantes?" Susan asked.
"I hope they stop the Dark Lord," Hannah said.
I will, girls. When the time's right.
Dudley's plans for the Vanguard group were big. He wanted them to be a global private wizard army. But he also wanted them to be lawfully recognized. For that, PR was absolutely necessary. So, a few good deeds here and there were enough. With the Quibbler and Daily Prophet on his side and a few American papers, it was easy to get famous.
"Let's not think about that," Susan said and snatched the paper from Dudley's hand and threw it away. Then, she grabbed his face and squeezed in a hot kiss. At the same time, Hannah on his other side dug her hand into his swimming trunks and started stroking him.
Thanks to that combined attack, he was hard like an iron pole.
"Alright, girls. Who'll go first?"
Susan and Hannah eyed each other, competitive spirit clear in their eyes. But instead of verbally cursing each other or actually fighting, they did something unusual.
"Rock! Paper! Scissors!"
"..."
Dudley dumbly watched them play a round of three, and then a round of five. The two looked as cute as they looked hot.
Best summer in years.
Business success, Luna, Lily, and now a relaxing vacation with Susan and Hannah. He felt productive and well-rested at the same time. Furthermore, with Lucius gone, and Narcissa slowly falling into his claws, he had no complaints left.
An office clerk? Hah, I wonder how she's doing.

It was tough for Narcissa and Draco. They had never lived like that in their entire life. But now, they were forced to share a single room in a Knockturn Alley inn. It was small, it was damp, and it was humiliating.
They did some magic to change their hair color so nobody would recognize them and just lived in that inn. They ate small meals, only two times a day. Just some bread and stew. They had never known that people even ate those things.
Everything was a first. The floor creaked, and the bed creaked. And then, it started raining. The roof started to leak water into their room. Finally, they realized why their room was so cheap. Thankfully, it wasn't winter, so they didn't freeze in the cold.
As expected, no matter what, she was still found by the Death Eaters. They approached her in that inn, and offered her a seat among the Death Eaters, replacing Lucius. They made it clear that although she had no wealth, there was plenty she could offer to the Dark Lord.
She felt sick of thinking about what happened to Bellatrix. She didn't want that and refused it. And sure enough, it enraged the Death Eaters. She and Draco were thrown out of the inn. After that, no inn in Knockturn Alley gave them space.
Desperate, they ended up staying in Diagon Alley. But it was much more expensive. So, they went from two meals to just one meal a day. However, soon the inn in Diagon Alley also asked them to pay more or leave. As the new Hogwarts year was about to begin, it was peak season for the inns to make money from traveling parents.
Unable to pay, Narcissa and Draco once again left. It had already been six days, and they had to spend just one more day to finish the challenge. All along, the hardest thing was controlling Draco. Again and again, Draco tried to contact his friends to ask for some money. But she stopped him, knowing it would violate Dudley's terms.
Draco didn't understand anything. He was blinded by years of indoctrination by Lucius. Blinded by his anger. She tried to calm him down, advised him to never speak with Dudley again, or stop in his path. But that only enraged Draco more.
At that point, the Death Eaters tried to directly contact Draco and take him away. She had to battle those Death Eaters to save her son. She didn't get injured, but she lost considerable strength.
On the last night, she ate nothing. They had nowhere to sleep, so they stayed outside the whole night, sitting in an alley in Diagon Alley. It wasn't safe, but it wasn't Knockturn Alley.
Tired, fearful that Death Eaters would come again to take Draco, Narcissa stayed awake the whole night. She felt it firsthand, how there was now more desperation to survive than fear of humiliation. She didn't care anymore, she just wanted to be safe and keep her son safe.
At that moment, she thought of Dudley Dursley. Just a Muggle-born who was once living his life in his own little bubble, happily. But everything changed the day of the Quidditch World Cup. It was Lucius, the Death Eaters who barged into his bubble and burst it apart. It was they who pushed Dudley too far. Now, the wizarding Britain cluelessly went on, unaware of the monster hiding, created by wizarding Britain itself.
She had investigated Dudley plenty. She didn't know a lot. But she knew that his reach was wide, far more than even the Ministry's. His friends sat in high positions across European Ministries and MACUSA.
In a sense, if something were to happen to Dudley now, it wasn't Dudley's problem, but the entire world's problem. He was too big to let die. As his death would shake up too many things negatively.
Eventually, the seventh day rolled in. With no money, she and Draco couldn't do anything. She initially thought of taking up a job in some shop. She was an exceptional witch, after all. But fearful of voiding Dudley's terms, she chose to remain hungry.
They just drank water and waited.
Hours went by, and finally, the seventh night rolled in. Narcissa waited eagerly, eyeing her watch. Five seconds, three seconds, and finally, it was the beginning of the eighth day.
Woosh!
Right then, in the darkness of the night, a sealed letter flew out of nowhere and landed right in front of her folded legs. She was sitting on the stone floor in an alley, Draco leaned on her shoulders on her side, sleeping.
Her hair was in disarray, her face a tired mess, she weakly grabbed the letter and saw the D&D seal on the wax. Her heart grew heavy with expectation as she opened it and read its contents.
[To, Mrs. Narcissa Malfoy—I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected for the role of junior office clerk at the D&D Holdings headquarters. You are expected to visit the headquarters at 8:00 A.M. sharp. The dress code is formal. Your training will begin right away and will last for one month, beyond which you will be made permanent based on your performance. Until then, you will be paid half the salary. We will be expecting you—From Martha Rockwell, Chief Secretary to the CEO.]
Finishing reading that, Narcissa let out a deep breath. Her hand weakly fell over her lap with the envelope.
Clank!
A key fell out of the envelope. She instantly recognized it.
With a shivering hand, she picked up the key and almost cried a tear. She had never expected to feel so homesick in her entire life. So desperate for a roof over her head. She realized how she had taken her wealth and privileges for granted.
And she first hand felt how it must have felt when the Dark Lord did the same to the Muggle-born and half-blooded wizard. Even worse, the Dark Lord gave no jobs or ways out.
"Draco." She shook her son up. "Let's go."
"Ha? W-Where? What? Are they attacking us again?!"
"No." Narcissa caressed Draco's face. "Let's go home."
