Chapter 18 - Giant cheese grater man

King sat in the corner of the room, concern etched onto his face as he inspected the half-full cup of musty looking water he had received instead of food for the day, he was less concerned with the taste or texture, as it was frankly better than the water he received with rations in the basement, the problem was more so it was barely enough to be called a mouth full, and he now had to split it three ways.

Suzie, the wo

man he felt confident in calling his Girlfriend would have to drink first, but he also couldn't just let Fae wither away and die, he had fallen asleep eventually and upon waking up found her waiting to greet him, visibly exhausted but unwilling to sleep unless he held her.

Suzie had managed to help him convince Fae to sleep alone with a Pillow by assuring Fae that King would need her scent on it so he could sleep properly.

"Just drink it yourself," Suzie told King without hesitation, "You're going to be fighting again today, I heard them whispering outside the door while you were getting Fae to stop humping the pillow,"

"I'm probably going to be fighting every day," King assured her, "If worse comes to it I'll just drink my opponent's blood, it's nasty but it should work, drink the water, and make Fae drink some when she wakes up,"

Suzie made a pouty face and King knew what she was going to say before she could even try speaking her mind, "You obviously like the idea of messing with her," King told her frankly, "But you can't do anything if she'd dead, I'll see if there's a way to get more water, but for now we stick with you two drinking and me doing what I have to do to survive,"

Suzie took the cup and carried it over to the bed, as she took a sip King could tell she desperately wanted to drain it dry as he hands started quivering, King turned away as he licked his dry lips.

After his time with Fae he had thought it was weird he wasn't dehydrated, now he was confident some skill or another had allowed him to ignore the effects of it for a limited time, he felt like he hadn't drank in days.

He was confident Fae was doing just as bad if not worse but simply lacked the brain power to care about it anymore if Suzie was doing that bad after only three climaxes.

With Suzie out of the way and Fae in the bed, King waited for the door's to open, the same guy as before opened the door, looking around he snickered when he saw Fae laying in her bed.

"I'll be coming back for you Elf Lo-" King slapped the man across the mouth.

"Shut up and do your job," King told him blandly, the guard pulled out the taser but King just grabbed his arm as he did so, "Go ahead, fry yourself, moron,"

"No, I'll wait till you're out on the field," The Guard chuckled, "I got permission from Vlad, The Numbers are high, and we should make sure you're put down before people lose interest, got a nice match-up for you today, a Merchant bought his biggest boy in to play,"

King still took care to hold onto the man's arm despite his attempts to pull free, King followed the guard out as two more closed the door and stood at attention next to it, King could tell they were planning something and just had to hope Suzie had received a strength boost like Fae and with it, the two could hold the men off. If he came back and they were gone, then he no longer had any reason to be a good dog and if nothing else he'd make sure to take some of them with him as he rampaged.

King didn't let go of the guards arm, even when a Spear slashed at him as he was told to move into position, it accomplished little past cutting the back of his dress and ruining the spear.

"You better hope I die," King told the Guards whose arm he was holding, "My Girls are the only reason I haven't tried killing any of you guards yet, so if I come back and either of them is damaged or missing, you best be hauling ass like the right proper bitch you are because I will hunt your ass down," King let go of the guard's arm and walked up to the opening gate.

The Guards rubbed his arm, the leather around it damaged beyond repair, and a small amount of blood could be seen from the area.

"You ok Benedict?" one of his fellow guards asked with mild concern.

"Oh I'm doing great," he promised as he handed her the controller to King's Collar, "See this reaches Vlad's hands post haste, it's time the Colosseum lost its King, I have other business to attend to,"

"Alright," The other guard said nervously before adding, "Just don't…piss it off ok? I don't wanna die because you-"

"That sounds like Elf lover talk," Benedict cut in with a sharp gaze, "You best remember that the last bitch who talked down to me was Fae, and She's a brain-dead fuck doll," Benedict walked a little closer to the girl before adding, "How about a thank you Sir. Benedict before you go do what I fucking told you to do!?"

"Th…thank you, Sir. Benedict," The woman said in a cowering tone before running away. He looked to the other guard and then hit his chest, the all stepped away from him as he laughed, "Don't none of you forget your place," Benedict turned and headed back the way he came, "Now I do believe the good 'Captain' is overdue for a conjugal visit,"

King stepped out into the harsh light of the arena, it was his first time in direct sunlight and he took it in before a voice called out to him.

"You're the King?" He turned to the voice and was met with a massive shiny man standing across the arena, maybe ten feet in height, in fine leather armor with multiple polished metallic pieces protecting his vital areas.

The most notable parts were his two large and sharp-looking shoulder pauldrons along with metallic braces around his wrists that covered the back of his hands and his knuckles. All he needed was a helmet and he would have looked as if he was about to hunt down some meddlesome turtles.

"Ai," King confirmed as the Giant cheese grater man looked him up and down, as he did so King noticed his neck, or more accurately the neck accessory the both of them shared, the Giant man was a slave, but clearly not one that hailed from the Colosseum, "That Merchant I hear about own you or renting you?"

"Renting," The Giant replied in an almost business casual-like tone, "Planning to have me escort him to some wild dangerous parts of the country, said he liked the sound of some company,"

It was odd, but King could tell the Giant was lying, or withholding parts of the truth, as he had already learned the crowd could hear what the two were saying as though they were directly next to each one of them.

King wasn't about to call a fellow slave out on lying to people, although it left him curious as to what part of the statement had been a lie, some or all.

"All I got are my bare hands," King complained, mostly to himself. "Why don't I get a shredder suit?"

"A shredder suit?" The Giant asked, "An odd description but I suppose it's not too inaccurate," The Giant held up one of his arms and slid the blades across the rock that had just been installed, replacing the one he had punched in his first fight.

The Blades cut through it like it was hot butter, "I wish I could ask you not to struggle so I could make sure your end was merciful," The Giant said sadly, "But at the same time It would be an insult to you to ask that in earnest If nothing else, please accept my apology for murdering you, Ma'am"

"You are the second nicest person I have ever met," King informed him bluntly, "But I am no ma'am, failed forced gender swap makes it hard to notice, but I barely escaped with my manhood intact if you catch my drift,"

"These creatures are sick," the Giant replied with a headshake, "I am Ichabod, I'm sorry we have to meet this way,"

"My name is King," King replied just as formally, "And before you say 'wow what a coincident' I was dam near born in this pit and my title is the closest thing to a name I've ever been given,"

"Well then King, well met," Ichabod looked up and King followed his eyes, only just realizing that seats were still being filled as the crowd moved about. King imagined there was an invisible wall separating him and Ichabod but didn't bother testing it since the Giant seemed friendly enough.

He could see three people in the Spectators booth, one of them was Vlad, One a plump looking man dressed in fine furs despite the heat, but the third was hidden just out of view.

Ichabod and King could only stand around and wait till it was time for their fight to start.
