Daxter looked at Lucas, still unsure. "My children are still young, none of them are ready to take over the company anytime soon. I don't want to hand everything over to outsiders who only care about profit. At least you once showed concern, even if your path back then was wrong."
"Sir…" Daxter's voice trailed off. His eyes trembled. There was a deep conflict within his chest. He didn't know what to feel grateful, ashamed, or afraid of disappointing again.
Lucas didn't push further. He simply looked at Daxter with the calm demeanor of a man who had made peace with his past.
"I'm offering you a choice, not a command. You're free to refuse. But if you accept, consider it a second chance. Not just for you, but for Viona. For a future that doesn't have to be shaped by guilt."
