"A... tentacle?"
Looking down, I realized in utter disbelief that it belonged to one of them: the Carrionstars. Somehow, its massive limb had forcefully broken straight through our magical barrier to strike us. Although the shimmering tear in the barrier was already closing up, that brief window of chaos allowed the Terragorgs to finish constructing the earthen ramp they had been building up the wall.
A few beasts immediately began their fierce pursuit, scrambling up the freshly formed slope at terrifying speeds. Hurriedly, our ranged troops shot their projectiles to break the path down once more, but the Red Minotaurs were simply too fast. They ran up the steep incline with unnatural agility, the crimson skin on their heavy arms shifting and reshaping into jagged, deadly bone weapons.
One of them actually managed to reach the crest of the ramparts before being shot down by a unit of Lilies stationed on this end.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
