Chapter 151 - Chapter 151: The fierce battle~

Standing on the green carpet, feeling its "breath" and writhing, Asfi's face darkened.

------------------------------------

Narrow and dim, inside the passage wrapped in disgusting green walls, Fron furrowed his brow because of the stench of rot.

"I didn't expect that, even after I calculated against you like that, you survived such an attack without dying."

Fron held his staff, taking a battle-ready stance, his expression wary and solemn as he looked at Revis, whose body was completely unscathed, and his heart sank.

"Even if you didn't die, to recover completely in just a few days… even magic couldn't achieve that to this extent. And… the defensive power of your body is abnormal. I even suspect whether you're human at all."

"..."

The woman slowly emerged from the darkness, her figure revealed.

As Bors had said, purely in terms of appearance and figure, Revis was an exceptional woman, the highest grade. Unfortunately, that was only the outer shell.

Once she donned the green armor, she became a complete monster… That contrast alone was enough to drive people to despair.

And from the very beginning, the two of them had been standing on opposite sides.

Fron was an adventurer, the labyrinth and Orario, were his home.

And this enemy actually declared she would tear the city apart, return the monsters of the dungeon to the surface, and bring chaos. How was that any different from destroying his home?

Revis stopped ten meters away from Fron. In response to his question, she stared at him with cold emerald eyes, silent for a moment before speaking calmly:

"That's why I said I hate you adventurers. ..."

Narrowing her emerald eyes, her lips curved into a cold arc as she continued:

"Just from crossing blades once, you managed to gather so much information. Your perception is impressive. But… setting aside the hatred between us, the reason you must die, it was decided from the very beginning."

Fron understood.

"Your goal from the start has been Ais, hasn't it? I remember you called her 'Aria.' As far as I know, that was the name of Ais' mother."

"Heh, stop lying. spirits can't bear children. Don't try to deceive me."

"..."

Revis didn't seem to know what era she was from. After she died in the dungeon and was reborn as a monster, it must have been hundreds of years since she last had contact with the surface.

Otherwise… she wouldn't be so ignorant of adventurers' level information and the great spirit's affairs.

"Enough nonsense. First I'll kill you. Then I'll take Aria away."

As she spoke, she knelt on one knee on the green carpet and reached into the disgusting wall.

She pulled out a great sword born from intertwined crimson-purple vines. Its shape was bizarre, evil, and carried a cursed feeling.

Adventurer's instinct warned Fron: if that thing cut him even once, it would be bad.

"A natural weapon?"

Fron narrowed his golden eyes, instantly seeing through the weapon's nature… Not one of those common natural weapons born of the dungeon, but an irregular weapon of unknown origin.

He could faintly feel fluctuations from it similar to magic, yet entirely different.

"I've never heard Revis' weapon was anything special… a situation outside the intel, huh."

Fron wavered slightly, but under the pressure of such a powerful enemy, he forced himself to focus.

"I'll finish you!"

With that same unreasonable burst of instantaneous speed, Revis' crimson sword tore through the air, producing buzzing shockwaves as it came crashing down!

Clang!

His staff raised overhead, Fron caught the first strike with both hands.

Revis' gaze flickered slightly at the magic circle rings suddenly appearing along the staff's shaft.

"A special armament? But before absolute difference in strength, your fate is already sealed!"

"[Face your end! (Ragnarok)]"

"[Surtr!]"

--!

Flame and lightning turned into a magic armor, wrapping around his body and weapon. The sudden boost in ability caught Revis off guard.

Seizing the moment, Fron unleashed a full-force whip kick into her waist!

Boom,

The violent force sent Revis flying, slamming her body against the wall.

Taking advantage of her midair state, unable to regain footing, Fron raised his free hand and aimed at her trajectory!

The magic circles beneath his feet and in his palm resonated, a flash of light disappearing with the spell's activation.

"[Firebolt!]"

"[Firebolt!]"

"[Firebolt!]"

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM,

The narrow space shook violently, the green carpet beneath and the green walls wrapping the cavern writhed madly at the immense danger, like a living creature twisting in agony, terrifying to behold.

After the barrage, Fron panted slightly, standing his ground and exhaling.

Squish…

A grotesque throbbing sound came, and then… from the scorched green wall before his eyes, Revis was slowly squeezed out, her entire body intact, except for a faint pain in her waist where Fron had kicked her.

"..."

The young man's face darkened.

"This cave not only restricts my movements, it boosts the enemy's power as well… And that kick just now didn't feel right. I updated my status before coming here! This woman…"

But in truth, Revis herself was also shocked.

After being tricked once, she had constantly kept a portion of her focus defending against Fron's skills during their battle. In that time, she had also advanced, hunting monsters madly, strengthening her magic stone reserves.

Since their last fight, she had become a true Level 6. And yet… he had grown stronger too?

She was a Creature, with the traits of a strengthened species. But he was just an adventurer! Since when did the gods' blessings grow so powerful? What kind of joke was this?!

"Don't underestimate me, adventurer!"

Her exquisite face darkened with fury, Revis swung her great sword and launched another assault.

The clash erupted again, the cavern becoming their battlefield.

The air resounded with the blade's howling strikes and heavy thuds like hammers against giant trees. Revis' fierce, wave-after-wave combat techniques overwhelmed Fron, who could only defend passively with his staff.

Her brutal consecutive strikes grew faster and heavier, the terrifying blade sharpness making even the air wail.

But, relying on his exceptional ability values and powerful dynamic vision, Fron barely evaded Revis' sweeping slash.

"[Firebolt!]"

Using the recoil, Fron quickly raised his left hand, the circles beneath his feet and palm flashing in unison!

BOOM,

The brilliance of magic violently pierced the space, but Revis, already on guard, dodged it sideways.

Glancing back at the scorched wall with a hole burned through by the magic, Revis' expression shifted, rare emotion surfacing on her calm face.

"A rapid-fire spell with such power… Are you saying you can simultaneously use supportive enchantments and instant-cast spells?"

Fron smirked wickedly at her words.

"Seems you're not very knowledgeable about magic, huh? With additional magic, once I chant the activation, it sustains itself, I don't need to maintain it. So I'm not casting two spells at once, it's just timing. Got it, woman?"

Revis gripped the grotesque weapon, like an evil thing born of flesh and blood, so tightly that the hilt began to crack under the force.

"You bastard… If I let you live, you'll become a huge problem in the future! Today, you stay here!"

"[Firebolt!]"

BOOM,

Another blast cut off Revis' straight charge.

"I have to say, woman, you're even more desperate than last time. Calm down a little, will you? Your tactics are all being seen through."

Fron narrowed his eyes, keeping his spell-casting stance, sneering as he mocked her.
