Chapter 430 - 430: Mystic Resin

Kasen appeared in front of Barty Crouch Jr. Without wasting a single word, he hurled a dense mass of Death essentia straight at him.

Barty hurriedly conjured a stone wall with Transfiguration, barely managing to block the spell, which was every bit as lethal as the Killing Curse.

What followed, however, was an utterly ordinary-looking wooden axe. It struck the stone wall with a dull yet crisp thud.

Creator God: Earth Chariot!

In an instant, the Earth Chariot... no, the stone wall extended by the power of the Creator God slammed into Barty Crouch Jr. like Optimus Prime barrelling down a motorway, BOOM! sending him flying.

We are all trying so hard... to stay alive~

After crippling Barty Crouch Jr. in the blink of an eye, Kasen turned toward Voldemort with a savage grin.

"Just wait. This time, I'm stuffing you into the volcano."

Voldemort, who was busy playing cat and mouse with Steve, glanced back at Kasen.

"Let's see whether you're capable of it."

During the few seconds he spent speaking, Steve's Netherite sword had already been completely absorbed into Voldemort's chest. Voldemort then waved his wand and fired an Avada Kedavra at Steve, striking him squarely in the chest.

"Idiot. I'm not even alive right now."

Although Steve had lost his sword, he still raised his middle finger.

Seeing this, Voldemort switched spells and sent Fiendfyre rushing toward him. Steve merely scratched his smooth bald head and allowed the world-destroying flames to engulf his body.

There was nothing Voldemort could do. The code for the Fire Resistance Potion had higher priority than the Fiendfyre Curse.

As for why?

Go ask Markus Persson!

On the other side, Kasen instantly caught the brief moment when Voldemort froze. He swung his arm and threw the axe straight at him.

Voldemort casually deflected it with magic, causing it to land at his feet.

The instant it touched the ground, Voldemort felt a shudder run through him from the inside out.

Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!

Four stone spikes had already pierced Voldemort's chest. Under the influence of the Creator God, they continued growing larger and larger.

Yet Voldemort's body had become even stranger. He looked like a rubber doll with no limit, continuously stretching as the four stone spikes expanded inside him.

Kasen did not hesitate for even a moment. He hurled another mass of incredibly dense Death essentia straight at Voldemort.

Clang!

With a sudden pop, Voldemort's body spat out Steve's Netherite sword, barely using it to block the Death essentia.

Kasen said nothing. He immediately formed a second mass of Death essentia and flung it at Voldemort once more.

This time, Voldemort no longer had the Netherite sword to shield himself.

The dense Death essentia struck Voldemort and slowly seeped into his body, but the scene Kasen and Steve had expected, in which Voldemort dropped dead on the spot, never happened.

On the contrary, Voldemort seemed even more excited. At the same time, his consciousness became more active and even more chaotic.

"Kasen, what's going on?" Steve asked as he picked up his sword and stood behind him.

"Who knows what kind of new trick this bastard pulled with his body..." Kasen said as he picked up the small wooden axe from the ground.

The next moment, an enormous block of obsidian that blotted out the sky trapped the completely immobile and irrational Voldemort inside.

"Can't we just keep him trapped here without killing him? Treat it as a seal," Steve suggested.

Kasen shook his head. "The monocle shows that he no longer has a soul. Somehow, his soul has already escaped."

"Slippery bastard. Like an eel," Steve complained.

"Exactly. That's the real Voldemort. A rat hiding in the shadows, not a beast that fights openly," Kasen said slowly as he watched [Voldemort] continuously overheat and lose health.

Only after the health bar of Voldemort's body completely vanished did Kasen wave his hand and throw the enormous corpse into the crater.

"Horcruxes... Horcruxes..." Kasen murmured. "Voldemort himself isn't frightening at all. As long as we find and destroy the Horcruxes, he'll be nothing more than a powerful Dark Wizard."

"None of us ever denied that... Wait... Kasen, what's that?" The flames in Steve's eye sockets suddenly flared as he stared in surprise at a strange glimmer in the lava pool below.

"It's too far away. The monocle can't identify it."

Kasen took out a Splash Potion of Fire Resistance and threw it over his head, only for it to smash heavily against his skull.

"I'll go down and take a look."

Whoosh...

Thud!

"Fuck! I forgot lava still deals fall damage!" Kasen's miserable cry came from below.

"You all right?" Steve poked his head over the crater and called down in a strangely cheerful voice.

"I'm fine."

Kasen sighed helplessly. He had only felt genuine pain just now. It was not as though he had actually been injured.

After finishing his complaints, he slowly swam towards the shining object in the middle of the lava pool.

Steve remained at the edge of the crater, tapping his skull in confusion. "What did you find?"

Kasen, who had already retrieved the object, suddenly returned to Steve's side.

"A piece of rubber-tree resin capable of resisting lava... This thing isn't ordinary."

Kasen looked suspiciously at the sticky yellowish-brown substance in his hand.

A piece of resin with no magical power whatsoever had been the only material in Voldemort's body that the lava could not destroy. That alone proved that its power could not possibly be weak, yet Kasen could not sense any magic from it.

"This has reached the blind spot in my knowledge," Kasen murmured.

"Let's go back and ask Dumbledore," Steve suggested.

"Mm-hm. That's the plan. Let's return to Hogwarts."

Kasen nodded. An Ender Field enveloped them both, and in the next instant, they appeared inside the Headmaster's office at Hogwarts.

"I've destroyed Voldemort's new body, but we can't keep letting him resurrect forever. Finding the Horcruxes is now urgent. Also, Dumbledore, Grindelwald, take a look at this."

Kasen placed the piece of resin on the desk.

Dumbledore's eyes, which had relaxed slightly, lowered towards the resin.

"An occult material? Where did you get it?"
