Chapter 365 - 365: Weasley's Chamber of Secrets

But soon… as Professor Kasenhis continued teaching the class, the Weasley twins relaxed.

The reason was simple. His lesson seemed to diverge from the original infusion altar path after upgrading the wand into a staff.

For example, using a monocle to extract various types of essentia, then channeling those essentia through the staff to form powerful elemental spells.

In a sense, this method could allow less talented young wizards to quickly make up the gap.

For instance, a normal wizard's Incendio could only be used like a lighter, while a slightly stronger wizard could use it like a firebomb.

As for Dumbledore's Incendio, that was practically carpet bombing, on the level of a natural disaster.

And channeling elements through a staff was a way to bridge the gap between those three levels.

In other words, it raised everyone's overall level.

Kasenhis sat on a small chair by the lectern, watching as fire serpents and water dragons clashed throughout the classroom, hurricanes and lightning intertwined, and the Weasley twins stood in the center, manipulating their Rule and Death essentia.

Seeing this, Kasenhis first walked over with a warm smile, gently asked them to put away the Death element, and once they did, he unceremoniously smacked each of them on the back of the head.

"Is that something you show off with? It's dangerous!" Kasenhis scolded.

"We're very sorry, Professor," the Weasley twins quickly lowered their heads and apologized.

"Everyone else, continue practicing." After saying that, Kasenhis returned to the lectern, flipping through his arcane manual. The class was about to end, and he still needed to figure out how to handle the next lesson, what exactly he should teach next.

At this point, it could hardly be called a teacher not preparing lessons.

This was more like a math teacher not studying math and instead cramming language arts a few days before class.

But when the cart reaches the mountain, there will be a road. As long as he wanted to walk, the road would be under his feet.

Of course, not that kind of nonsense. It just meant that if Kasenhis really committed to it and spent an entire week thoroughly mastering the arcane manual, then by the time these students graduated, they would at least have three or four more ways to keep themselves alive.

Soon, the class ended. Like the closing of a news broadcast, Kasenhis stood behind the lectern, gathering all the materials on it, tapping them together once, then again, then again, then again.

After aligning all four corners neatly, he looked up and realized that three students were still there.

"What's going on with you three?" Kasenhis raised an eyebrow.

"Professor!" Three voices spoke at the same time.

Kasenhis shrugged, then pointed at Cedric. "You first."

"Professor, I feel like my current mechanical arms are a bit… weak. I want to replace them with something more powerful," Cedric said.

"Mhm, no problem. I've already upgraded mine, so it makes sense for you to upgrade as well," Kasenhis nodded, then looked at the Weasley twins. "What about you two?"

"Professor? Our infusion has been getting more and more unstable lately."

"There's already a risk of explosions now."

The Weasley twins spoke in tandem.

Kasenhis nodded. He still remembered that when they first started learning from him, it was so they could pull off something big and temporarily leave Hogwarts to build up some startup capital.

But now, the two of them were completely immersed in the art of alchemy, with no desire for Galleons whatsoever.

Then again, maybe not. The Weasley twins were both extremely clever. Who knew if they hadn't already been doing some side work outside? And with all the discarded gold molds he had given them before, if they planned to buy a shop, they might have already done so.

After all, gold's purchasing power, whether in Gringotts or the Muggle world, was still top-tier.

Still, it wasn't his place to say anything. What would that make him look like?

Emm…

It was like two delinquent students whose original dream had been to join the mafia and collect protection money, only for Professor Kasenhis to guide each of them toward a fun and healthy hobby. And now that they had hit a bottleneck in that hobby, they had come back to ask their teacher for help.

Then Kasenhis almost blurted out nonsense with a grin, "Why are you so hung up on this hobby? Wasn't your dream to join the mafia and collect protection money?"

That would've been complete nonsense!

"Professor?" The Weasley twins waved their hands in front of Kasenhis, puzzled as he suddenly froze.

He snapped back to his senses. "Oh, right, right. This problem is easy to solve. Where did you put your infusion altar?"

"It's in one of our secret bases. We were worried about hurting others if we kept it in the dorm," the twins replied.

"Mhm. Then let's deal with the Weasley twins' issue first. Their problem is easier to handle," Kasenhis said, patting Cedric on the shoulder. Cedric nodded. He knew exactly how complex it was to make a pair of mechanical arms.

So it made sense to solve the twins' issue first. If they focused on upgrading his mechanical arms first, the Weasley twins might already be battered beyond recognition by their unstable infusion altar.

Soon, Kasenhis and Cedric followed the twins through a series of twists and turns until they reached a room on the 5th floor of the castle.

Perhaps because of convenience, the higher floors of Hogwarts had less foot traffic. The 5th floor only had a few scattered storage rooms and a magical laboratory.

The four of them entered the room. George went straight to a cabinet in the corner and opened it, while Fred, perfectly in sync, cast a blasting spell that shattered a wooden panel inside, revealing a hidden tunnel behind it.

"Hurry up. The panel we just broke will repair itself in fifteen seconds," the twins urged Kasenhis and Cedric to move quickly.

They followed at once. The tunnel was short but sloped upward the entire way, eventually leading to an attic with a skylight.

"How did you even find this place?" Cedric asked in surprise.

"We were practicing offensive spells here before and accidentally broke that cabinet. That's how we discovered this hidden room," the twins said with a shrug.

"Your luck is pretty good… and so is your sense of adventure," Kasenhis said, shrugging as he praised them.
