Entering and seeing/hearing the spirit realm are two different things. When one enters, everything is clear, even the flow of a human's life, and the person feels like they have grown a new set of limbs. On the other hand, seeing/hearing means what is brought to the eyes/ears is different from the true form of that thing.
A good example is when Ten sees his nine eyed wolf. A better example is when the First Tama-Artist saw the Yotram at Mhaka Mental Hospital. The best example is what is happening to Ngirozi Shinji (Kokusei) right now.
