"Wait, inject your mana into it while naming it to consolidate the name."
I held it up while injecting my mana into it. "Your name is *Schönheit,* Blitz Schönheit."
Immediately after the naming process, there was a momentary pause before the beautiful black jian started trembling violently in my hand. Then it released a sword cry and settled down.
"Geezer Denim, what just happened?"
"The sword has acknowledged you as its master. Now it has gone to sleep and will only fully awaken on the day of your awakening."
He took the sword from my hand and handed me a wooden one. "Now your training officially starts."

A young boy could be seen swinging his sword while counting.
"900, 901, 902, 903, 904, 905..."
Not far from him stood a young man, approaching middle age, observing him with a hawk's eye.
"He's holding up well. I guess all that stamina and strength training wasn't a waste," he said with a slightly satisfied expression.
"Hey, geezer! I already finished for today. That was my 1,000th slash," I said as I dropped the wooden sword and picked up a towel to dry my shirtless, chiseled body. I'm way taller than I should be at my age.
"I'm off to work now," I said as he cast the usual buffs on me, and I ran out of the house.

On my way to work, I met Leah. She looked at me with sparkling eyes, and I noticed she was carrying a backpack—which she usually didn't bring to work.
As we were walking, she came closer and held my hand.
"Hey, Per—*cough*—Eason, I was thinking... maybe we should put our differences aside and become good friends."
"I see you every morning before work, and you're always training, and you..." She bit her lip. "You always look so handsome."
"What are you t-t-t-trying to do, you slimy mermaid? I don't know what you're thinking, but I don't want to be your friend."
"You're mean," she said with an almost-crying expression. "Did I do anything bad to you? I'm just a girl who wants a friend. The locals here were scared of me because I awakened early. Then I met you. You're the only person I know who is close to the awakening age, so I have to stick with you."
"...Ok, let's be friends."
