'Somebody, save me!'
It was hard to say if the people outside were scared, but Phantylia was truly terrified.
Right now, she wanted nothing more than to ditch her current body and get the hell out of there.
Ever since Dan Shu had immersed herself in the Ambrosial Arbor, she had completely ignored the Lord Ravager.
The woman had already achieved her goal. As for what would become of the world in the end?
Hadn't she said it herself? She didn't care. Whether a so-called "Bright King" was born was not even a consideration for Dan Shu.
In the past, the people of the Xianzhou had loathed the blessings of the Abundance.
But now, a large group of them had gathered outside the Scalegorge Waterscape, desperately trying to get in and protect the Ambrosial Arbor.
Talk about a complete reversal.
If this were the old Phantylia, she might have gone out to mock the Xianzhou people, verbally declaring her victory—a victory of varying degrees, but a victory nonetheless.
But in reality, only Phantylia knew that she had lost everything.
From the moment Dan Shu had her by the throat, Phantylia had been completely suppressed.
Now, Phantylia was hoping the Xianzhou people outside would hurry up and open a path so she could revert to her energy form and escape.
And she wasn't the only one feeling lost and dejected.
There was also Master Diviner Fu Xuan, who had failed to make a single correct choice based on her own wisdom throughout this entire affair.
At this moment, Qingque was comforting her boss.
Qingque was a good girl, and her comforting was spot-on.
"Boss, it's not like you wanted this to happen. I mean, even you don't fully understand how our Matrix of Prescience works. At best, you just borrow it from Nous. It's not like it came with an instruction manual or a blueprint. And the repairs after it got damaged were mostly like that too."
"No one wanted this to happen. I can clearly feel your burning passion for the Xianzhou. You didn't want things to turn out this way. After all, no one could have guessed that Dan Shu would go so crazy as to use a Stellaron, use Destruction, and destroy the entire Ambrosial Arbor."
"I see it clearly now. She's just doing this to slap us in the face. To make us, the followers of The Hunt, rush to protect this Arbor. And to put on a show for all the Aeons, like, 'See how you all fight amongst yourselves?'"
"'Don't these humans still protect the power of an opposing Aeon for their own benefit?'"
"To Dan Shu, she's not targeting you."
"There's nothing left in this world for her to care about. Her goal is to mess with the Aeons, to throw their game into chaos, and to use her own life to leap beyond their control."
"It's normal that you lost. After all, you're not a madwoman willing to bet your own life, are you?"
"Master Diviner, just relax. Don't the short-life species have a saying? 'A fallen head just means a scar the size of a bowl. Eighteen years later, you're a hero again.' Ah, don't worry. If it really comes down to it, just go talk to Noldrei and ask him what to do. Wouldn't that solve it?"
Listening from the side, Elysia was practically crying for Fu Xuan.
Qingque, your comforting is just too good. You might as well have stabbed your boss a few more times. With that much 'hatred' for her, are you trying to take the Master Diviner's seat for yourself?
Mr. Yang was growing a bit anxious with the wait. He hoped Dan Heng could really open the sealed gate.
"Where is he?"
Fu Xuan suddenly seemed to remember something. No wonder she had felt something was off.
A certain someone had tossed out a stone to test the waters and then just up and left, leaving this mess behind.
"Where did he go? He must have a solution! Right?!"
Fu Xuan thought of more than just that. She immediately guessed that Noldrei must have a way to deal with the situation Dan Shu had created.
If he didn't have a solution, that guy wouldn't have disappeared so leisurely.
Fu Xuan grabbed Elysia's arm and asked nervously, "Elysia, have you seen him? Where's Noldrei? He pushed things to this point, he can't just leave us to clean up his mess, can he?!"
"Calm down, relax, relax..." Elysia soothed her. "He's always been here. He wouldn't just leave me and Little Mei here, would he?"
Elysia knew Noldrei. So far, he had never abandoned anyone, and it wasn't in his moral code to do so.
"Then where is he? Where is he?! The situation is so critical, how can we not even find him?"
Fu Xuan was genuinely worried. She didn't want the Scalegorge Waterscape to be destroyed along with Dan Shu.
After learning of Dan Shu's objective, everyone had a good idea of what she was trying to do.
What else could it be? Art is an explosion, of course.
She would disappear along with the Ambrosial Arbor, ensuring that the Xianzhou would never again be able to touch the blessings of the Abundance.
She was going to rip out such a massive benefit by the roots.
Extremism wasn't scary. What was scary was not being truly extreme.
As it turned out, the Xianzhou's followers of The Hunt had lost to the followers of the Abundance when it came to extremism. They had even walked the path of Destruction for the sake of the Abundance.
"He probably has other things to do."
Elysia couldn't bring herself to tell Fu Xuan that a crisis of this level was nothing in Noldrei's eyes.
As long as the Xianzhou people were still alive and could continue to reproduce through ex-vivo cultivation, then in Noldrei's eyes, the Xianzhou civilization still had the ability to exist.
The real crisis for Noldrei would be when the Xianzhou lost its ability to reproduce itself as a species.
The sense of crisis in Gene-ism was completely different from that in normal human society. Having followed Noldrei for so long, Elysia knew very well what constituted a crisis in his eyes.
Elysia reminded her, "Perhaps you could try contacting him on your phone? Maybe he'll give you a great solution?"
For a moment, Fu Xuan didn't know whether to believe this. She felt as if she had fallen into some kind of trap.
But if she didn't find Noldrei, with her current abilities, she couldn't think of any good solutions.
"Will there really be a solution?"
The repeated blows had made Fu Xuan lose almost all confidence in her choices. She looked at Elysia, seeking some support.
How would Elysia know of any good solutions?
If she had that kind of ability, she would have solved the Honkai crisis on Earth long ago.
Elysia could only nod. "Yes!"
Mr. Yang was scratching his head as he watched from the side.
Enough talk, just make the call already!
Call him! You'll know if it'll work or not once you get an answer, won't you?
