Chapter 642 - Noldrei: Relax, Leave Everything to the Emperor!

Reviving the Venusians was a job that naturally couldn't be done without Sa and Vita.

But the reason Tesla had called Noldrei over was precisely to consider this matter.

Unlike androids, these were living, breathing Venusians, humans with the same social standing as Earthlings.

"Kiana, what do you think we should do?"

Noldrei didn't offer his own thoughts, instead turning to ask Kiana.

'You'd be better off asking me than her.'

Bronya thought to herself, what kind of answer could Kiana possibly come up with? Was this something that could be figured out just by thinking?

"I think it's simple..." Kiana actually managed to figure out a solution. She smiled. "We don't need to think of them as Venusians. As far as I know, we Earthlings don't know every single person on Earth either. So, we just need to let them live normally all over the world and tell them they come from another part of Earth."

"Just like how someone from the Far East can't tell the difference between a Californian and an Alaskan, if a Venusian says they're from somewhere on Earth, can an Earthling really tell the difference? Impossible. So, they'll just see these people as Earthlings."

"It's completely unnecessary to differentiate them. Anyway, I can identify them through the Kaslana Stigma Space. So for now, we'll just classify the Venusians using the old-era Earthling method."

Kiana was taking advantage of the fact that Earth hadn't fully entered the new era yet, letting these Venusians adapt to the new way of life alongside Earthlings. That way, there wouldn't be a rift in their real lives.

Noldrei waved his hand. "Then let's do as she says. Tesla, what's the fastest we can produce these bodies? After all, we need Sa to extract the minds of the Venusian's top scientific researchers as soon as possible."

Tesla had a good grasp of their current production capacity. She did a quick calculation and said, "The number of living wombs we can create at our current level isn't that high yet. We can probably create around twenty million in just half a year. As we scale up later, we can probably control the population growth to about forty million per year."

"And that's not even counting the birth rate of humans who haven't fully entered the new era. The total annual growth should be around one hundred and fifty million. To fully produce all the Venusians, it should take about a hundred years."

"But that's fine too. It can guarantee that the number of Venusians won't exceed that of Earthlings, and we can maintain a basic balance between the new Stigma-wielding humans on both sides."

Tesla didn't want too many unplanned Venusians appearing, especially since this method would cause Kiana's power to expand exponentially.

What if one day Kiana felt her power was insufficient and just decided to produce more new Kaslana humans? Wouldn't her power just expand without limit?

Bronya felt a chill listening to this, even though she had seen all sorts of strange things in the security force. The calm way these people discussed the process of life's reproduction still frightened her a little.

She hadn't expected Kiana to actually come up with a solution, and even a plan for their future way of life.

"You've done well. These new Kaslana humans created by the living wombs have no consciousness, which makes them perfect vessels for the memories of those outstanding Venusians. Have Vita pick out some consciousnesses from the twelve billion Venusians Sa left behind. It's especially important that we don't let the criminals of the old Venusian era survive to the present! Earth's political past has been settled, so Venus naturally needs an internal reckoning as well."

The 'reckoning' Noldrei spoke of was quite clear: it meant letting some non-compliant Venusians get their chance to live 'later'. They would first select the Venusians who could accept the new world.

Bronya asked with confusion, "But if we really have to investigate the memories of twelve billion people, isn't that like finding a needle in a haystack? But if we let Sa handle the consciousness uploads, that also gives her the opportunity to alter their memories."

"Compared to more controllable Venusians, we absolutely cannot let the uncontrollable Sa come into contact with these... future Kaslanas."

Seeing his own people becoming more and more astute, Noldrei revealed a satisfied smile.

Through his unremitting efforts, these young girls had all become very qualified, outstanding members of the ruling class.

This was truly excellent!

The proliferationalism of the future would surely bear even more delicious fruits of conservative, reactionary thought.

"No, we don't need to control so many Venusians. We need to let these Venusians proactively experience the fate we have laid out for them."

"The authority of Finality naturally possesses the power to educate and shape a person's consciousness."

Kiana subconsciously scratched her head. How did she not know her future power would be this great?

Kiana didn't know how powerful the authority of Finality was, but Tesla, of course, knew very well.

"Are you saying you want to use the Previous Era's Stigma Project to create an unprecedented educational tool? People immersed in a dreamscape can ignore the flow of external time and all sorts of uncomfortable educational processes. They can complete the shaping of their consciousness through intense, interactive experiences?"

Tesla's words were like opening a skylight.

Bronya had almost forgotten about the now-abandoned Previous Era Stigma Project. She never thought Noldrei would want to reshape the collective memory in this way.

Bronya's face lit up with pleasant surprise. "Then we don't need to worry about Sa tampering with the Venusians' memories or consciousness, because we'll be using the Stigma Project process for a second round of screening and shaping? We can let them retain their original consciousness while having them experience all sorts of interactions they've never had before."

"And thanks to the vast number of Venusian consciousnesses, we have enough to support this originally powerful Stigma Project and use it to control the social collective of the Venusians."

Noldrei explained calmly, "For this kind of newly born life that lacks organizational strength, the best way is to re-centralize them like this, making them believe that these are all the results of their own free choices."

"The most outstanding power of the Cocoon of Finality isn't internal suppression, but the external, continuous creation of new beings of its own kind. This mass-producible process is an overwhelmingly powerful force against the original Earth civilization."

"You could also say that we are borrowing the Cocoon of Finality's characteristic of binding a civilization. We are using the Stigma Project to map a certain aspect of our own civilization onto the depths of these new lives' consciousnesses, so that even when they are dreaming, they are under the control of our Honkai Emperor."

Kiana began to suspect who the real Finality was.

Could the authority she was about to inherit really be this immense?

The Previous Era's Stigma Project was created as the final line of defense against Finality, but how did it become a tool for Finality to control humanity in Noldrei's hands?

Who had really won?
