Chapter 636 - Welt: I Alone Toil Tirelessly for His Majesty!

Kevin's honest disclosure had, contrary to expectations, left many at a loss.

Welt Yang was one of them.

While he had opposed Noldrei, he had also been modifying the new ideology Noldrei created. One could even say he was quite 'anti'-Noldrei.

Yet even so, Welt had never been able to refute the theoretical foundation of proliferationalism from its very roots. At most, he had only explained and improved upon it.

And now, Kevin came and told him: The Will of the Honkai did it! It even cruelly tore open the most 'tender and heartwarming' part of proliferationalism!

Welt initially didn't want to believe it. According to the historical crises of Noldrei's world, it was only after successive human genetic crises that they were forced to centralize the right to reproduce.

In other words, the initial centralization of reproductive rights wasn't for the purpose of ruling humanity, but to create new humans capable of adapting to a changing environment.

In his heart, Welt actually approved of this solution.

In a world with no Honkai Energy, no Honkai ICHOR factor, and none of the various strange Imaginary Energy superpowers, humanity could only rely on this traditional genetic power to change themselves. It was already the least cruel method available.

And this method had been proven successful in Noldrei's world.

Geneticism affirmed the value of human existence, the system of human talent, the scope of human practice, and the reality of human power.

From the most agonizing of worlds, it had produced a flower that surpassed the industrial civilization of the old era.

Just imagining the scene, Welt knew just how much the people of Noldrei's world trusted in geneticism. It went without saying how many followers the subsequently developed proliferationalism would have.

"This 'Creditorship of Life' business is certainly interesting... Whoever controls the birth of new life also holds the future of humanity. I have to admit, the Will of the Honkai truly struck at the cruelest part of proliferationalism. We used to think the chaotic struggle of proliferationalism was the problem. Now it seems the true face of it is the battle for control over life's reproduction!"

"It's not enough to just keep creating solutions for our own needs; we must clearly recognize the fundamental contradiction brought about by life's reproduction! Have you all forgotten? Even Noldrei himself was a tool produced by proliferationalism to solve its own internal contradictions."

"His method for defeating the Honkai doesn't seem all that remarkable to us now. It's just using various means to create new humans with powers similar to the Stigma. His actions were simply more flexible, more willing to cross the line."

After stating this, Welt said, "Dr. Tesla is also aware. The technological structure of the living Stigma itself isn't too advanced. Even I could utilize my original abilities as the Herrscher of Reason. If we had delved deeper into research, we could have also developed Stigma Battlesuit technology. What held us back was, one, not getting the Kaslana genes at the most opportune time, and two, being unable to cross that bottom line in our hearts."

"We wouldn't think of creating a non-sentient living being to wear as a cloak in battle. We wouldn't even dare to consider such a thing."

Welt looked at the increasingly angry Kiana and calmly explained, "Kiana, don't be angry just yet. We must understand that opposing proliferationalism is not the same as opposing Noldrei as a person. Noldrei has simply chosen his own way to create the ideology and power of anti-proliferationalism. He himself has chosen to become the standard-bearer for proliferationalism and has guided all of us here to this point."

"He used defeating the Honkai as bait to lead us down this path. Now, just the gathering of humans with a proliferationalist mindset is enough to intimidate the entire civilization of Earth. Let's not even talk about your situation, Kiana..."

"We can't tell if he has any genuine affection for you, or if he feels nothing at all. Whether he acknowledges our position as new humans, or if he doesn't."

Welt's words were almost too cruel. Bronya couldn't even imagine the consequences if Noldrei truly felt nothing for Kiana.

Seeing Kiana on the verge of exploding, Tesla quickly took over the conversation. "Are you saying he's using us?"

Welt had no such intention. He said with a bitter smile, "Rather than saying he's using us, it's more like he thinks we're living so poorly that he wants to lend a hand. Does anyone remember how he treated Bronya?"

"He once said that it wasn't that he was too good to Bronya, but that everyone else was too cruel to her."

Only then did Bronya remember that Noldrei had indeed said something like that.

Even now, though Bronya never said it out loud, she had always believed that Noldrei had taken the initiative to save her. Otherwise, with Noldrei's abilities, he could have just picked any random person off the street and turned them into the next Bronya.

Noldrei had chosen Bronya from the vast sea of people, and Bronya had been an assassin. Yet he had never done anything to her... well, aside from turning her into a little horse.

In short, Bronya had always been grateful to Noldrei in her heart, viewing him as a dear brother, a romantic brother, Seele's brother, and all sorts of other brothers.

You want Bronya to choose to be Noldrei's enemy?

Impossible!

Bronya would rather just take the same stance as Noldrei and let others worry about anti-proliferationalism.

Whether Noldrei had any hopes or expectations for her was completely unimportant! For Bronya, standing by Noldrei's side was what mattered, even if he came to hate her for it.

The situation had become so messy that even Kevin was deeply troubled.

Of course Kevin understood Noldrei's purpose, and he had naturally learned of humanity's future troubles from the Will of the Honkai.

But how many people present hadn't received Noldrei's grace?

For some ideological path? For some future?

Everyone present understood clearly.

No matter how troublesome the future of Noldrei's world was, it was still a high-level civilization that had produced an existence like [03].

And you expect the current human civilization on Earth to solve the problem of such a vibrant ideology as proliferationalism?

Don't be ridiculous!

That was like trying to start a proletarian revolution in a feudal society. The people didn't even know what the bourgeoisie was.

Kiana had a flash of inspiration. "In that case, can't we just hand this problem over to Ducky to solve?"

Ducky, the living being anthropomorphized from the Herrscher of Reason's Core.

She had received the third-generation inheritance rights in the form of a young Bronya.

The little one wasn't yet qualified for a seat on the Council, so she wasn't present and was at home instead.

Einstein pondered for a moment, then nodded. "Mmm, let's just choose to believe in the wisdom of future generations. What do you all think?"

Einstein didn't care. She had already decided to live out her days in her current form.

By the time a crisis erupted in human civilization, she'd have long since turned into a fossil.

What proliferationalism? What did that have to do with her, Einstein?

She had only held on this long to fight the Honkai.

Now that the Honkai had been dealt with, couldn't she just enjoy herself?

After the Will of the Honkai was defeated, Einstein decisively chose to slack off. Her future life would just involve studying Imaginary Energy with the others.

Elysia nodded without hesitation. "Right, right, let's just believe in the wisdom of future generations! Isn't everyone living well now? And we can't even see a hint of any struggle. Even if Kevin released the theory he got from the Will of the Honkai, no one would act on it."

Welt Yang's gaze fell on Elysia as she said this.

It made him start to wonder... was he the only one toiling away, exhausting his mind and body for His Majesty the Emperor's grand cause of anti-proliferationalism?
