"Multi-threaded operations?"
Kiana saw at a glance just how much Sirin had grown.
Like having a portable network for a brain, gaining access to the android network gave Sirin a multi-threaded processing ability. This caused the Herrscher of the Void's combat power to suddenly skyrocket.
To give a simple example, take Sirin's Lances of the Void.
They could transform into soft ribbons for slicing attacks.
But now, you couldn't even see 'them' anymore. The lances had become something akin to...
Transparent sewing thread.
Everyone was watching the live broadcast. It felt like spectators enjoying a show. But in reality, it was much more than that. Everyone was diligently digging up everything Otto had ever done.
"After obtaining the new Herrscher Core, Sirin's control over Imaginary Space has reached an incomprehensible level. Before, she either used raw Imaginary power or the power of subspace to control it. But now it's different..."
"In terms of cutting strength, a single transparent sewing thread has the same effect as a twenty-centimeter-wide ribbon. So, in that case, why not just use invisible transparent sewing thread for attacks?"
"Either the original Sirin wasn't capable enough, or her brain wasn't sharp enough to think of it."
Raiden Mei's words were a bit insulting. Kiana instinctively wondered if Mei was taking a shot at her. That brain was the one Kiana originally used, after all. This made it seem like her brain had been holding back the Herrscher of the Void.
"Well, now Sirin is no longer bound by her own knowledge and abilities, giving her more attack options. This gives her some way to counter the game-breaking, chaotic destructive power of something like the Abyss Flower."
"Sometimes, offense is defense, and defense is just immobile offense."
Kiana couldn't help but retort, "Doesn't that just leave offense?"
Raiden Mei said helplessly, "It's not like Sirin could learn anything else."
Is this really okay? Isn't she in the middle of a fight? By the way, who's the one filming this whole thing? How are they so easily dodging the shockwaves from their battle? Why are they giving a running commentary here? And how are they even picking up the sound of them talking from the air vibrations? What kind of technology are you guys using?!
Ana was frantically screaming on the inside. She could now see that Overseer Otto was a traditional villain. In contrast, Sirin had now gained the "deceased close friend," "deceased family member," and "deceased past life" buffs, and her combat power had soared to a level other Herrschers couldn't match.
Seriously, do people have to die for you to get a brain upgrade? Can't you apply what you learn in class? How are you supposed to defeat Overseer Otto like this?
Ana felt that Overseer Otto was a bit too unlucky. It was like facing a protagonist who had just activated their cheat codes. Who could stand up to an opponent who suddenly powered up with a bunch of buffs?
In fact, the battle was unfolding exactly like that.
Sirin, who could previously only attack point-to-point, had now evolved to attack any point in three-dimensional space, with multi-point, multi-directional, and multi-target coordination.
The once-fleeing Sirin was now fighting a turn-based battle. This time, it was Otto who couldn't pinpoint her location. Hiding in subspace, Sirin could control invisible subspace tentacles to strike the two Overseer Ottos at any time.
Now, the tables had turned.
Rita was the unlucky one. She still couldn't intervene in a battle of this intensity. She was purely there to be a target.
Thankfully, Noldrei had said he'd find someone to help her, which turned out to mean finding someone to keep her alive.
"I still don't understand what's going on. I know a little about what happened at Babylon Labs, but why do Sirin and Otto have to settle things here? If that's the case, wouldn't that mean the Herrscher Core descended for nothing? Haven't they already gotten it?"
Rita felt that Misteln might know more.
"Because the descent of a Herrscher Core doesn't necessarily follow a strict timeline. The key is the environment and the individual's strength. Only in a high-concentration Honkai environment can a Herrscher absorb enough Honkai Energy. Besides, we only have one extra Herrscher Core now. The Director needs at least two to descend before he'll stop."
Misteln's explanation frightened Rita even more. With her current strength, surviving this battle was a fool's dream.
Sirin had gotten smarter. She was impossible to find during the fight.
Otto was not to be outdone. Their battle had devolved into an exchange of blows from a distance, as if they were just waiting to exhaust each other's energy.
But this was a losing strategy for Otto. Even with a Soulium body, he couldn't outlast the Herrscher of the Void.
"No, wait. Under normal circumstances, Otto should have already escaped. But why hasn't he?"
Rita didn't think Otto would make such an unwise choice.
"Because he can't escape. At this point, he has very little room to run. The political structures of both Schicksal and Anti-Entropy have been completely dismantled by Noldrei. Even if Otto escapes now, he won't have a chance to make a comeback. No one will see him as the Overseer anymore. His power vanished the moment Schicksal fell apart."
"Without Schicksal, Otto is like Kiana's father, Siegfried. He has very little room to operate. Having lost his political and informational power, his actions will be constrained, and he'll eventually become a lone wolf like Siegfried."
"In the past, Otto could use the power of the Previous Era to make up for his political shortcomings. But now, what Mr. Noldrei offers is faster and stronger than digging up the past. Schicksal's fall from power was inevitable."
Misteln looked up at Durandal in the sky. Durandal was now in an awkward position where she couldn't intervene. She was struggling to find a place to attack.
Both Sirin and Otto had successfully learned Noldrei's fighting style, combining speed and attack, using attack speed as their main raid force.
For Durandal, whose attack style was more like a heavy-duty brawler, she was almost completely countered.
No matter the attack, no matter the defense, it all came down to one thing: "I can hit the enemy, but the enemy can't hit me."
And so, what should have been a spectacular battle of offense and defense had devolved into a boring, abstract fight of taking potshots at each other from the shadows.
Rita watched the current scene, utterly speechless.
Do all you smart people just like to play dirty?
Rita thought back to how she used to charge in with her giant scythe and had the sudden feeling that she was the real idiot.
